"2012" as written by Tyler Smith, Anthony Pizzuti, Zack Hansen, Justin Salinas, Nick Urlacher, Dusty Riach and Tom Denney....
You get what you deserve for fucking with me.
You get what you deserve for fucking with me.

You're not the first, you won't be the last.
Your days are numbered so make them last.

No one will recognize me
A new face, a cold heart to stand in your way (stand in your way).

I know I said you'd be ok.
Forgiveness won't come your way.
Well I lied, it's time you fucking die.
You've dug your grave, it's time that you pay.

No one will recognize me
A new face, a cold heart to stand in your way (stand in your way).
No one will recognize me
A new face, a cold heart to make you break.

I'll finish you!
I'll finish you!
I'll finish you!

You thought you could get away
And you thought you could escape.
Your time is up (Your time is up!)
You can't hide from me.

No one will recognize me
A new face, a cold heart to stand in your way (stand in your way).
Now this is what you get for taking my life away.
You can't run away (You can't run away!)

General Comment"This is the shortest song on the album and was recorded in Drop B, the lowest tuning on the record. When I first heard the song, I decided I wanted the mood to be very bleak. The song is named after our friend, C.J., who tours with us. We always joke about him being a serial killer. “2012” is about someone whose life was ruined by someone, but [the victim] came back for revenge and killed [the killer]. It has guest vocals by my good friend Levi Benton from Miss May I and is probably one of the darkest songs on the album. It's quick, heavy and will probably open up a few pits."

MemoryRan through a personal situation myself, tried to help someone out as they would have been left on the streets if I didn't shelter them. They ended up screwing me so hard that both of us became homeless after a few months but luckily I had a back up plan. I'm done talking with them and realized whom my real friends are and have a colder stance on those whom now try to enter my life for fear of being back stabbed. A bit too paranoid but that's just how life goes. Always keep your 3rd eye open and watch for those who will screw you in the end. Great song and very deep lyrics. Loving the heaviness to the song and the guest vocals by the lead singer of Miss May I. This is not your average electronic/post-hardcore band trying to be a scene band cause I believe these guys are for real about what music really is.
