"For We Are Many" as written by and Rob Graves Oli Herbert....
Oh yeah!

The fire it rages
It burns clear in the night
Illuminates the path before us
Now true our arrows strike

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising against you

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising to crush you

Now the tide is turning
Our might striking fear
Our passion foretells our triumph
Smite those who stand against us

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising against you

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising against you

We are your fast approaching doom

Now tremble

Let the tyrants fall
Let the sons raise the call
Let the tyrants fall
We are your fast approaching doom

The fire it rages
It burns clear in the night
Illuminates the path before us
Now true our arrows strike

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising against you

Defy, we heed the call
Defy, strengthen us all
Defy, for we are many
Rising against you

General CommentI think this is one of those subjective songs. It's probably meant as alot of things, but the real meaning is how you interperet it. Could it be about Christianity? Maybe. Government? Possibly. I think it depends on how you take it

Another sick song by ATR. They still have it; this is better than all of Overcome, which wasn't too bad itself.

This song is about my favorite topic! -fighting the good fight, as St. Paul would put it.

The message is really straight forward: defy evil, defy fear, defy hatred, defy tyrants, defy the oppression of sin, defy Satan.

We are many, that is, we Christians are strong in number, but most importantly in spirit. With the power of God on our side, and with His Holy Spirit, we have the strength to eradicate the strongholds of evil.

Now the tide is turning: As Gen 3:15 said, although evil won the battle on Good Friday, good won the war on Easter Sunday.

Satan is a defeated foe, and his eternal banishment is quickly approaching. Let evil beware! We who stand on the firm rock of Jesus Christ are coming, and we will bring your doom.

General CommentBB4Christ Theres no way that this song has any Christian connotation, not trying to start a flame war or anything by the way. Maybe if you want to warp the lyrics to a Christian value set as you did, but from listening to other songs by All That Remains theres no way its religious in any sense.

Case and point My Indictment off of The Fall of Ideals.
    The breakdown is as follows

This is my indictment of your beliefs
This is my indictment of what you hold dear

My eyes have seen the horrors that you
Commit in the name of your god
    Your god is violence
    Your god is unholy
    Your god is violence
    Your god is unholy

All That Remains points out how evil the church has become, from the crudades to their lack of action taken in the rampant cases of pedophilia that exists in the clergy. Not to mention their disgusting fear mongering tactics that all lead back to the one thing that the church is truly after which is money.

ANYWAYS the songs fucking amazing and in my opinion one of All That Remains' best.

General CommentThis song is a representation of anarchy and the people we are the anarchists the brothers in arms and the creators we must defy to rise above the tyrants of the day and to succeed our ancestors and to create the place we belong we must destroy the place we are held in all of our lives. DEFY NEVER FALTER!!! ATR!!!
