Zombie, Zombie

I'm in love with a zombie
Can't keep his hands off me
I think he's looking at me
But he's looking right through me

You think you're so cool boy
Blood rushing through my veins now
Do you want me for my body
Do you want me for my brain, brain, brain, brain

I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold

Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating
Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating

I'm in love with a zombie
When he put his hands on me
Send chills through my body
But then he don't call me

And I know that he like me
Cause he chasing me nightly
And I want him to bite me
Cause i know I'm gonna like it, like it, like it, like it

I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold

Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating
Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating
Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating
Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Got my heart beating, beating

Baby all I want is an answer
When I walk past ya
Why you gonna act like I'm Casper
Every boy wanna know, irresistible, kissable
But you think I'm the invisible girl

Keep it down low
We be creeping, freaking
Got me feeling so ah ah
Trying to keep cool, heart beating
You're heart's freezing
But I still want ya-a-a

I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
I'm in love with a zombie (boy)
But his heart is so cold

Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Cold, cold
Cold, cold, freezing, freezing
Cold, cold

I'm excited that I'm the first to comment before Natalia Kills and this song explode onto the airways! I guess I should say something about its meaning, even though its so obvious I almost don't see the point.

The zombie is a boy the singer falls in love with, presumably while they were fucking (or perhaps dancing). She wants to know whether or not he's truly into her the way she's into him, because his blank expression - not to mention, habit of ignoring her - suggest that he's not.

    My Interpretation

Personally, I think this song is about a friends with benefits type relationship. She knows he likes her in some way because he's chasing her every night (presumably for sex), but is it for her brain or just for her body? This she isn't sure of.

She is in love with him, but she sees that he doesn't see her the way she sees him or the way that other guys see her - "irresistible, kissable", he thinks she's "invisible". His heart is cold because he obviously only wants her for her body.

I think it's hilarious whoever puts together the commentary for Rhapsody thinks this song is LITERALLY about a girl in love with an ACTUAL zombie boy. Metaphors are lost on them, it would seem.

    Song Meaning

Again, Natalia Kills is one of those amazing writers who will write a song with 2 meanings: the explicit and implicit.

Implicitly, Zombie is about fame It's about how everyone will adore a celebrity for her looks and her charm, without even knowing them. And they'll love a singer, even without considering art and it's, if you ask me, about her BECOMING Natalia Kills, getting rid of all that popstar stuff, and just making the truth. Becoming the embodiment of the world around her, but, not what we see, but what truly is.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
