Thank your lucky stars
No matter where they are
'Cause it's possible
This is only a dream
And you might wake up someplace far away
A place where you're still young
Oh wait, this is a dream

Hesitate, always lost
Shouldn't I count the cost
Of being born not number one
I was born a trucker's son
I was born a... a trucker's son

If it were possible
I would jump in a frame
Change the family name
Oh, if it were only true

I'd wake up somewhere,
Someplace far away
Where there's forever fun
Oh wait, it's the same dream

Hesitate, always lost
Shouldn't I count the cost
Of being born not number one
I was born a trucker's son
A trucker's son

I was born a trucker's son
I was born a... a trucker's son

A trucker's son

Oh wait, this is a dream

    My Interpretation

Being Jason Martin is a believer in Jesus Christ, it comes out in a lot of his songs. I believe this one is no different.

"Thank your lucky stars No matter where they are 'Cause it's possible This is only a dream And you might wake up someplace far away A place where you're still young Oh wait, this is a dream"

This sounds like a call to really examine the meaning of life, because everyone will die someday and "wake up" face to face with the creator of the universe (a place far away). He keeps saying throughout the song "this is a dream" due to the fact this life is but a vapor. This life will end quickly and we will wake up to the eternal reality when we die.

"Hesitate, ALL IS lost Shouldn't I count the cost Of being born not number one? I was born a trucker's son I was born a... a trucker's son"

I believe the chorus means that if you don't make a decision about who your God and savior is, you will by default go to hell. Therefore all is lost if you hesitate. Counting the cost of living life for others instead of you, and vice versa. Living for yourself will only send you to hell. He states how he was born a trucker's son, most likely stating how he isn't the (truck) driver of his life, but the son. More than likely a reference to Jason Martin's faith in Jesus Christ.

"If it were possible I would jump in a frame Change the family name Oh, if it were only true"

Most likely referring to the fall of Adam and Eve, and Jason Martin's desire to remove sin from the human race.

"I'd wake up somewhere, Someplace far away Where there's forever fun Oh wait, it's the same dream"

Here we find Jason going back to his point before, pointing out how there is a place where everyone longs for. A place of forever fun (heaven). When he says "it's the same dream," he is reinforcing the fact the place exists, and it isn't actually just a dream, but a reality.

In the end, the song looks like a call to "Wake up" spiritually.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
