Oh when did summer begin?
With mosquitoes flying
Like fighter pilots
Loose on the wind

And like little vampires
They live off sucking
The blood from, our skin
And with their bellies filled up
They will all take off again

You might as well have been one of them
Holding my cigarette like a tiki tourch
I'm just fending them off

And then you whispered all things
You wanted us to be,
I don't disagree with you at all
This was supposed to be
For you and me and nothing more
So we should take this chance tonight
To make this moment never end
No it's never gonna end
We gotta chance it all tonight
Just tonight

Oh when did summer begin?
With dragonflies dancing
SO elegantly
Loose on the wind

And with the stars shining
Never quite stealing the daylight
Sunrise returning
Never quite fading
Until it's night time again

You might as well have been one of them
Holding my cigarette like a tiki tourch
I'm just fending them off

And then you whispered all things
You wanted us to be,
I don't disagree with you at all
This was supposed to be
For you and me and nothing more
So we should take this chance tonight
To make this moment never end
No it's never gonna end
We gotta chance it all tonight
Just tonight

You came to this apartment
Hoping to find a good time
I guess you found it
I guess you found me
[x3]

Eyes to the ceiling
Your lungs barely breathing
Your heart's filled with feeling
But it's feeling that's empty

You came to this apartment
Hoping to find a good time

Eyes to the ceiling
Your lungs barely breathing
Your heart's filled with feeling
But it's feeling that's empty

And then you whispered all things
You wanted us to be,
I don't disagree with you at all
This was supposed to be
For you and me and nothing more
So we should take this chance tonight
To make this moment never end
No it's never gonna end
We gotta chance it all tonight
Just tonight
[x2]

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
