You were sitting at your bed
Grinning from ear to ear
I can smell the evening
Things seem pleasing to you, only you

I was waiting up for you
Well I worried about you
I put them to bed
They missed their dad
Just where the hell were you

The first stop it's always true
That's my first suggestion to you
I can do my best
You get some rest
And tell me just what you did

I want to help you
I want to bring you back to life
But your sad, sick brain knows one damn thing
And it comes out every night

Just don't let me go
Don't let me go

Your choices they're hard to make
You make this harder every day
I'm sure I'm leaving
I'm more deceiving
I'm fumbling for words to say

I gave you everything I had
Well I loved you till death
That heart's going to beat
If you're able to breathe
Surely you're dead to me

The shivers and shakes your body makes
Are going to go away
That's the price you pay for the games you play
And nothing's going to change

I can't help you
I can't bring you back to life
You can find your help from someone else
Who's there and has the time

Just don't let me go
Don't let me go
Don't let me go
Don't let me go

Try to get dressed
And you put your shoes on
Let's get to the car
Let's make this right

The drive is short but it sure feels long
That's just how it is when you're leaving home
This isn't the end of your life
It's more like a pause and soon a start

Back on your feet again in no time
But if you're not with me, well I'm just not fine

I tried convincing God to change you
We had it out, and he said, "No"
Said a choice is a choice, and he says you made it
He'll help you along, but God why is nothing free?

You filled me up with hope, God, I used it
I used it all on you, can't you see?
There comes a time when you choose for another
So I'm making this choice
Just for the three that we made too

So just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go

Here is the way I heard it, but I could be off too but thanks for the one that put down the first go.

You were sitting at your bed Grinning from ear to ear I can smell the evening Things seem pleasing to you, only you

I was waiting up for you Well I worried about you Well I put them to bed They missed their dad Just where the hell were you

The first step it's always true That's my first suggestion to you I can do my best if you'd get some rest then you’d tell me just what you’d do.

I want to help you I want to bring you back to life But your sad, sick brain knows one damn thing God it comes out every night

Don't let me go Don't let me go

Your choices they're hard to make You make this harder every day I'm sure I'm leaving I'm more deceiving I'm fumbling for words to say

I gave you everything I had I loved you till death That heart's going to beat If you're able to breathe But Surely you're dead to me

The shivers and shakes your body makes Aren’t going to go away That's the price you pay for the games you’ve played And nothing's going to change

I can't help you I can't bring you back to life You can find your help from someone else Who's there and has the time

Don't let me go Don't let me go (You) Don't let me go Don't let me go (no)

well try to get dressed And you put your shoes on Let's get to the car Let's make this right

The drive is short but it sure feels long but That's just how it is when you're leaving home This isn't the end of your life It's more like a pause and soon as a start

you’ll be back on your feet again in no time And if you're not with me, then the hell I’m not fine

    My Interpretation

It looks like rbellessa's lyrics are right (or at least a lot closer than what was initially posted).

As for the meaning, I interpret it as a plea from the narrator to someone else to admit and get help for an addiction, most likely alcoholism. The imagery is present throughout the song to support this, including:

Being able to "smell the evening" (the scent of alcohol from that night's drinking)

"The first step is always true. That's my first suggestion to you." (the first step to overcoming a problem is to admit that there is a problem)

"The shivers and shakes your body makes aren’t going to go away. That's the price you pay for the games you’ve played, and nothing's going to change." (Withdrawal from an addiction causes all sorts of effects, such as shaking and shivering)

"Well try to get dressed and you put your shoes on. Let's get to the car. Let's make this right. The drive is short, but it sure feels long, but that's just how it is when you're leaving home. This isn't the end of your life. It's more like a pause and soon as a start. You'll be back on your feet again in no time." (The narrator finally gets fed up enough and either takes the addict to a rehabilitation clinic or is taking her somewhere else to stay, away from their children)

"I tried convincing God to change you. We had it out, and he said, 'No.' Said a choice is a choice, and he says you made it." (The narrator makes a plea to God to fix the addict, but receives a response saying that it was her choice to be what she has become)

    General Comment

I think it's about going through a break-up/divorce with someone whom is Bi-polar.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
