I could be your lover
an abandoned mother
strip away my youth
and stand alone with the truth
skyscrapers
and the beauty of it all
recovers me from where I'm bound to fall

I'm drowning in momentum
I'm floundering for dear life
have you ever thought I'd always be there for you
pure of inhibition
Immersed in your heroics
did you ever doubt that I'd be there for you

I could be an ocean
a recurrent motion
cleanse away
my youth
and leave me bare
with the truth
magnifies the impact of my fall

I'm drowning in momentum
I'm floundering for dear life
have you ever thought I'd always be there for you
pure of inhibition
immersed in your heroics
did you ever doubt that I'd be there for you

I actually thought she was the ocean she's drowning in. My friend thought different. I wrote a mail to Wade Alin and asked him if I was right, and he said: no. So while I don't have a good interpretation, I can tell you what he did NOT mean with it ;)
