"The Akuma Afterglow" as written by and Peter Leo Rickard Wichers....
Where is it all? Where am I?
Only present to bleed
Only present to die
Only scratching the joy
Yet filled with desire
I'll be turning my head off

I've made ways to forgive
I've made ways to forget
Ceasing the hours
Made a friend I can reach
Can you hear how it's calling?
I'll make sure it's not falling

How long will I
Turn myself around this time
Can I revive?

And then it came
Blood rushing straight
Through the eyes of pain
Moving up
Getting sane
It feels the same
But time takes a toll
On this buried flame
Lift me up
Say my name

I was longing to feel it
Crying for sleep
Finding the essence
Burned by the heat
Given the answer
Given the cause
Suddenly seeing
It was lost when I called

I'm crashing down
(Nothing to keep)
Without a sound
(I wed the weak)
When it turns out the enemy's loose
At the back of my mind it is twisting the truth

How long will I
Turn myself around this time
Can I revive?

And then it came
Blood rushing straight
Through the eyes of pain
Moving up
Getting sane
It feels the same
But time takes a toll
On this buried flame
Lift me up
Say my name

The feeling surrounds me
Bigger than pain
Awaken by loss
Engaged to maintain
It might switch for all I know
I'll let it drown in the afterglow

And then it came
Blood rushing straight
Through the eyes of pain
Moving up
Getting sane
It feels the same
But time takes a toll
On this buried flame
Lift me up
Say my name

General CommentGreat song. What i get out of this is a Soldier that is in a war and suffering from war like symptoms. Hes kind of gone to la la land from all the stress and killings from the war. Hes thinking all this stuff to himself then...

    "And then it came
    Blood rushing straight
    Through the eyes of pain
    Moving up
    Getting sane"

I think the chorus is about he being brought back to reality. "and then it came blood rushing straight through the eyes of pain." I think that means his eyes are shot and hurt from no sleep and fatigue, and now has to pay attention to his surroundings for he has to go focus on the battle. "moving up getting sane" I think that means his squad is moving forward and now he has to do the same and quit daydreaming and get sane and pay attention.

My InterpretationTo me this song is about cutting ;Only present to bleed Only present to die Only scratching the joy Yet filled with desire I'll be turning my head off..."
The dying is the suicidal thoughts that often follow cutting, scratching the joy and filled with desire is wanting to go deeper for a better feeling. "I've made ways to forgive, Made a friend I can reach,
Can you hear how it's calling?" > razor. "How long will I Turn myself around this time Can I revive?" how long will i turn my back before i cut again. "The feeling surrounds me Bigger than pain Awaken by loss Engaged to maintain It might switch for all I know I'll let it drown in the afterglow" the feeling surrounding the person this is about is the great feeling cutting gives, the drowning in the afterglow is forgetting everything and just feel great.
