do you really want to see?
I don't think I can take this anymore
you are naive and I am nothing
I'm disgusting and so much more

holding all the lies I told you
feeling like somehow I spoiled you
dying is a trial I've been to
this is the time for truth and pain

do you really want to see the torment?
hatred of this world
hand in a book and I believed it
all it brought me was pain and more

holding all the lies I told you
feeling like somehow I spoiled you
dying is a trial I've been to
this is the time for truth and pain

holding all the lies I told you
feeling like somehow I spoiled you
dying is a trial I've been to
this is the time for truth and pain

I believed...
I believed...

holding all these lies I've told you...
holding all the lies I told you...
holding all these lies I've told you!
holding all these lies I've told you!
lies I've told you...
holding all these lies I've told you...

holding all the lies I told you
feeling like somehow I spoiled you
dying is a trial I've been to
this is the time for truth and pain

truth is pain!
truth is pain!
truth is pain!
truth is pain!
truth is pain!

I believed!
I never meant to hurt you!
I believed!
I never meant to betray you!
aaaahhhhh!
I never meant to hurt you!
aaaahhhhh!
I never meant to hurt you!
aaaahhhhh!

General CommentPossibly my favorite song off the new album. Apparently Ross had Jon's wife come in and made him sing it to her while recording. Should give a pretty big clue as to what it's about... And YES, I think the crying is genuine.

General CommentI can confirm that he cried at the end as you see him do it on the DVD in the special edition, but there are no signs of his wife

General CommentYeah I got it wrong. When I heard that Ross made Jon sing a song to his wife while recording, I assumed it was this one. Turns out it was actually "Are You Ready To Live?".

General CommentI never doubted the crying would be genuine, it's not like it'd be the first time he's cried on a song, I can't listen to the end of 'Daddy' it's just too upsetting, he sounds so broken I can't bear it! >.<
