"Uma Menina Uma Cigana" as written by Pedro Erazo-segovia, Oliver Francis Charles, Eugene Hutz, Oren Kaplan, Yuri Lemeshev, Sergey Ryabstev and Thomas Gobena....
She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

Uma menina, yeah (yeah), uma cigana (whoa)
I met on mercada uruguayana (whoa)
Uma menina, yeah (yeah), uma cigana (whoa)

She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

Between the rivers, yeah (yeah), of tzin and ganga (whoa)
There was a-once bonanza чунга-чанга (whoa)
Between the rivers, yeah (yeah), of tzin and ganga (whoa)

She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

Wake up, tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu

The first exodus took me to the Marok (yeah)
But second exodus, it left me on the sidewalk (whoa)
And so I took a knife and then I carved out (yeah)
New lifeline on
New lifeline on
New lifeline on my palm

She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

Wake up, tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Wake up, tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu
А ну-ка Юра, давай

She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

She she she she
She she she she
She she she she told me

And so you say (you say), you wanna try (you try)
Oh, and you see (you see), a bird is heading high
As if the birds are free
As if the birds are free
From the sidewalks of the sky

As if the birds are free
As if the birds are free
From the sidewalks of the sky

Tep-tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Tep-tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu
Tep-tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Tep-tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu

Tep-tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Tep-tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu
Tep-tep-terep-teru, tarap-tap-taru
Tep-tep-terep-teru, mara-kata-karu

    General CommentThe lines:

"As if the birds are free
From the sidewalks of the sky"

remind me of the last lines of "Ballad in Plain D" by Bob Dylan:

"Ah, my friends from the prison, they ask unto me,
'How good, how good does it feel to be free?'
And I answer them most mysteriously,
'Are birds free from the chains of the skyway?'"

Translation"Uma menina, uma cigana" translates from the portuguese (not spanish!) to "A girl, a gypsy".

This song was probably written at the time eugene lived in Brazil (another obvious referece is the song "in the meantime, in Pernambuco" - Pernambuco is a state in Brazil).

As for the part "mara-kata-karu", these refer to "maracatu", a brazilian folk dance. Those drums and whistles we he sings this part are the maracatu style.
