"Kill Me Carolyne" as written by and Timothy Deaux Angelo Thomas Petraglia....
Just leave my memory away
And try, I'll try to make my case
And you give me authority
You give me authority
You give me authority to lie

Kill, kill me, Carolyne
I know you love me
But you'd feel better
If you just suck it up and
Kill, kill me, Carolyne
You know it's nothing
It's nothing sentimental
But I really, really need you to

Taste, taste the bitter pill
And hurt, hurt the way it feels
'Cause you give me eternity
You give me eternity
You give me eternity to die

Kill, kill me, Carolyne
'Cause I'm not worthy
Of your affection
But not I'm begging you to
Kill, kill me, Carolyne
You know it's nothing
It's nothing sentimental
But I really, really need you to

'Cause you give me authority
'Cause you give me authority
'Cause you give me authority
To lie

Kill, kill me, Carolyne
I know you love me
But you'd feel better
If you just suck it up and
Kill, kill me, Carolyne
'Cause I'm not worthy
Of your affection
Kill, kill me, Carolyne
Kill, kill me, Carolyne
You know it's nothing
This ain't a medal
But I really, really need you to

General Commentlove this song. very rockable and very catchy.

i think it sounds like that last line in the chorus is "But I really really need you to" which would kind of change what it's saying.

basically carolyne gives the speaker too much power ("you give me authority")and he knows he takes advantage of the fact that she loves him so much. ("'cause i'm not worthy of your affection" and "i know you love me but you'd feel better if you just suck it up and kill me")
he needs her to kill him because he knows he can't treat her right but he also knows that he won't stop treating her wrong unless she makes him.

Song MeaningThat's close I think a simple wish, but when I hear it, I hear the singer switching between two states in his head. Carolyne, the woman he's in love with, and he's so infatuated by her, that it's literally killing him, and he's asking her to kill him, and release him from his torment.

    just leave my memory away
and try, i'll try and make my case

[Everyone gives him the hard talking to, about how this woman isn't the right one for him, or that he should just let her go.]

and you give me authority, you give me authority, you give me authority
    to lie

[However, being around her gives him the ultimate authority, to lie to everyone, including himself, that this is the right woman, that he's in love with her, and it's worth it all]

    kill, kill me carolyne
i know you love me, but you'd feel better
if you just suck it up and
    kill, kill me carolyne
    you know its nothing sentimental
but i really really need you

[The chorus is him lying, he knows deep down she doesn't love him, and it really is sentimental to him, that's the authority she gave him to lie. So he's asking her, "Please, please kill me and get this over with."]

    taste, taste the bitter pill
and hurt, hurt the way it feels
cause you give me eternity, you give me eternity, you give me eternity
    to die

[He's struggling with the bitter pill of rejection, it hurts, and all he can think is, she won't cut me loose, she's going to give me eternity in this hell, but he can't let go thinking she loves him, the lie continues to grow in his head.]
