"Undone" as written by Jeromy Deibler and Mia Fieldes....
Open up wide, swallow down deep
No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet
The cancer inside stealing my sleep
Night after night it keeps haunting me
The secrets I keep
Are tearing me up inside
I try to hide and then I wonder why

Why I’m still running when I know there’s no escaping

Come undone, surrender is stronger
I don’t need to be the hero tonight
We all want love we all want honour
Nobody wants to pay the asking price

Fall on my knees, fall on my pride
I’m tripping over all the times I’ve lied
I’m asking please, but I can see in your eyes
You don’t need tears for alibis
It’s true what they say
Love must be blind
It’s why You’re still standing by this sinner’s side

You’re still by my side when all the things I’ve done have left you bleeding

Come undone, surrender is stronger
I don’t need to be the hero tonight
We all want love we all want honour
Nobody wants to pay the asking price

I don’t think I can drive it home tonight
I don’t think I wanna be alone tonight

Come undone, surrender is stronger
I don’t need to be the hero tonight
We all want love we all want honour
Nobody wants to pay the asking price

My InterpretationMy interpretation of this song is that it's about coming out and admitting the truth about something you've hidden from someone for such a long time and asking for forgiveness. Even though you don't deserve it love is oblivious to these things which is why you're still standing.

"Open up wide, swallow down deep
No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet" - Being prepared to open up about something and knowing that it won't be pretty.

"The cancer inside stealing my sleep
Night after night it keeps haunting me" - Something about you or that you've done that you have kept secret but it still hurts you alot.

    "The secrets I keep
    Are tearing me up inside
I try to hide and then I wonder why" - Basically like above, your secrets are causing you pain and you're struggling to deal with it.

"Why I’m still running when I know there’s no escaping" - Asking yourself why you keep running and hiding from it when you know you can't escape it because it's within you.

    "Come undone, surrender is stronger
I don’t need to be the hero tonight" - Surrendering to the struggle and expressing it, even though it may make you seem like a bad person.

"We all want love we all want honour
Nobody wants to pay the asking price" - We all want to be loved but you're scared that saying what you've done will make everyone hate you and all your honor is lost.

"Fall on my knees, fall on my pride
I’m tripping over all the times I’ve lied" - Breaking down over all the times you've lied to protect yourself.

"I’m asking please, but I can see in your eyes
You don’t need tears for alibis" - Asking for forgiveness but knowing you've hurt them to much for them to forgive you.

    "It’s true what they say
Love must be blind" - Saying it's true that love is blind.

"It’s why You’re still standing by this sinner’s side" Because love is blind to oblivious things and it makes you look past the faults and just hope it will be the same, why you're still staying with them.

"You’re still by my side when all the things I’ve done have left you bleeding" - Admitting that they're still standing with you after everything you've done too them has caused great harm.

I wish someone would help me figure out what it means though. I've been thinkin bout it and can't come up with much. My InterpretationI believe that the song is about someone that was hurt by someone else. "No spoon full of sugar could make it sweet The cancer inside stealing my sleep Night after night it keeps haunting me The secrets I keep Are tearing me up inside I try to hide and then I wonder why". When read from the outlook of someone that was abused in some way. One can then see that this song is a prayer to God. The cancer is the memories that only come at night when you are alone and they keep you awake. All people who are abused do not want to admit it happened but the longer you keep it a secret the more it eats one up on the inside. That is why in the cases on women sexually abused a lot of them contemplate and try suicide. "You’re still by my side when all the things I’ve done have left you bleeding". Most people that where abused in some way believe that it is their fault and blame themselves for it all. Also those abused will at some point in their life will curse and blame God, yet God remains there at our sides no matter what we do. That line can also be used towards a spouse or date. When an abused person tries to be in a relationship they will sometimes harm their partner without meaning to or take out their anger on that person. "We all want love we all want honour Nobody wants to pay the asking price" this line is so true, especially from the eyes of someone about to do something that is harder than a regular person would ever believe. Reporting the abuse what ever kind. The asking price is telling what happened and revealing to the world, friends and family that you were hurt, and the fear that they will think you are to blame and that they will look at you differently. All that any person ever wants to be loved and even more does the person abused but they think they are unworthy. If this was an essay I could probably give you 4 or more pages but since it is not I will end here.
