A million years it's been, since the search began.
Still can't find it. Still can't find it.
The fuel is nearly spent. Check the maps again.
Can't let go of it. Can't let go of it.
Now the crew is cold and drunk on chemicals.
Can't believe in it. Can't believe in it.
And I heard the captain say, I heard the captain say,
"We' re so close to it, so very close to it.
We still have energy in us."

We feel our hearts break as the engines fade.
Still need to find it. Still need to find it.
So we took the written words of our philosophers,
and built a fire from it. Let's get those engines lit.
We took the church's veil and built a mighty sail.
to carry forth this ship. but we're still losing it.
And I heard the captain say, I heard the captain say,
"We' re so close to it, so very close to it.
We still have energy in us."

The mission's over now, and my breath is running out.
Can't let go of it, can't let go of it.
I didn't mean what I said, I didn't mean what I said.
I love you more than this. I love you more than this.
Then lights they fill the air, or were they always there?
I finally see it. I finally see it.
And I heard the captain say, I heard the captain say,
"You're always close to it, so very close to it."
There's so much energy in us.

I understand this song as a strong relationship between two people, probably companions, told by one persons perspective. The person telling the story is struggling with the relationship because of their own personal struggles, thus the we would mean all of the ideas floating around in that persons mind. The map refers to all of the past relationships that have brought this person to know themselves better. The verse "can't let go of it" again refers to the persons struggles. The verse that talks about being drunk on chemicals is talking about all of the different chemicals of the brain that are released by having good feelings with the other companion. When they talk about the captin it seems almost like this captin is a higher power and holds all of the knowledge of the persons loves. It is like the persons heart (feelings and emotions) of which is telling her to stay because the force (love) is still there. When referring to philosophers the person is saying that they tried to ease their mind through thought, in a logical sort of way but it didn't work. The next line talks about depending on faith to carry the relationship through but that didn't work either. The next few lines talk about the words that were said. They were probably talking about breaking up with the other and they say "I love youore than this" because it was against their own will they just felt like it needed to be done. Maybe it was bad timing for the relationship? In the last few lines it almost seems like the "captin" is coming from the other person or maybe it is even referring to the connection that is still felt between the two people and both people can feel it but neither one knows for sure if the other person does. The last few words are comforting saying that the love that has evolved between both is unconditional and cannot be lost.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
