Now its just a memory,
And its hard to think(hard to think about it)
Bout the love I left behind
I cant help but think(what could I have done about it)
But deep inside I know its your fault that im not there
Once you put aside your pride, I know that you saw it so clearly
That your nearly losing your mind
Tryna rewind
Do what you did and didn't do
So I'm telling you,
You should have did so much more to show you loved me

I'm wishing
I wish you would have gave me the flowers(when I could smell them)
And I'm wishing
I wish you would have held me for hours(when I was around)
Now there's nothing you can do,
But to wish I was with you,
But its too little too late, to late to late
Press rewind(to go back in time)
So there's nothing you can do,
Cause I'm no longer missing you,
You should have gave me the flowers(when I could smell them)
Cause now I'm gone

And baby its so hard to believe ya when you say that you promise your be better
Cause everything your saying right now, you can saying forever
You should of showed you loved me, you should have spent more time
You should have been the answers to the questions in my mind
But your here ain't going no where you'll never let me go
(you'll never let me go)
Cause baby, I couldn't feel your love was real, you took for granted what we had
So I'm telling you,
You should of did so much more to show you loved me

I'm wishing
I wish you would have gave me the flowers(when I could smell them)
And I'm wishing
I wish you would have held me for hours(when I was around)
Now there's nothing you can do
But to wish I was with you
But its too little too late, to late to late
Press rewind(to go back in time)
So there's nothing you can do
Cause im no longer missing you
You should have gave me the flowers(when I could smell them)
Cause now I'm gone

And it hurts so much inside for me to let you go(let you go yea)
But it hurts me so much more to stay with you and I know that
You can explain how much you changed
But it remains the same
Its just to late for us (its just to late for us)
There's no way to get back
All the love that we had
But I still cant help but wish that

I'm wishing
I wish you would have gave me the flowers (when I could smell them)
And I'm wishing
I wish you would have held me for hours(when I was around)
Now there's nothing you can do (and there's nothing you can do about it)
But to wish I was with you (but to think about it)
But its too little too late, to late to late
Press rewind(to go back in time)
So there's nothing you can do (no)
Cause I'm no longer missing you
You should have gave me the flowers (when I could smell them)
(hey hey hey hey)

I'm wishing
I wish you would have gave me the flowers (when I could smell them)
And I'm wishing
I wish you would have held me for hours(when I was around)
Now there's nothing you can do (nothing you can do)
But to wish I was with you (but to wish I was with you)
But its too little too late, to late to late
Press rewind (to go back in time) (said its to late)
So there's nothing you can do
Cause I'm no longer missing you

You should have gave me the flowers (when I could smell them)
Mhnn oh
Cause now I'm gone!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
