You're perfect photographs on the wall
And if I know you you're ok
I don't wanna dance anymore
I don't wanna sing anymore
I don't wanna dance anymore we used to sing

I thought I'd be ok till I hit that floor
I thought I'd be fine till I needed more

I thought I'd be ok till I hit that floor
Oh, I need more I need more I need more

I thought my life would get easier
instead its getting harder, instead it's getting harder

I thought my life would get easier,
instead it's darker, instead it's getting colder...
Without you

My life's a book of short stories,
and we wrote a new one everyday

I don't understand anymore
you don't love me anymore
I don't understand anymore and I can't think

Why can't I let you go?
Why can't I let you go?
Hate you I wanted to hate you

General Commentobviously it's a spiraling bout of sadness because the person he's in love with, isn't in love with him. maybe he thought hating them would make it easier, but it didn't. and forgetting them is out of the question.

General CommentI see it as the person being in love and basically he's fed up. Not happy in the relationship and he kind of states it with the line "I don't want to dance anymore" obviously not meaning dance literally but it's always seen as a way of expressing enjoyment.
Then he mentions "I thought I'd be ok till I hit that floor" maybe meaning rock bottom? He's finally hit rock bottom and just can't take the depressing romance that he is feeling.

General Commentit's also a good song platonically. like someone you care about more than anyone in the world who constantly screws you over but you care too much about them to really hate them. 'hate you, i wanted to hate you.' want to, can't.
