I'm no shape for a new day
I'm in no mood for a better place
Or a fix or your pretty face I'm not in the mood

I got a noisy head, a head in heat
A house on fire, a crowded street
So sure you're sweet, but I'm not in the mood
So c'mon

Give me a big, true, actual reason
To believe you
Give me a reason

I got a noisy head, a head in heat
A house on fire, a crowded street
So sure you're sweet, but I'm not in the mood

No, I'm no shape for a new day
I'm in no mood for a better place
Or a fix or your pretty face I'm not in the mood
I'm just not in the mood

Give me a big, true, actual reason
To believe you

'Cause I got no time for a big, big wait
I got no reason to stay
So give me a sign, I'm finding my way
I'm trying, are you trying too?

Give me a big, true, actual reason
To believe you
Give me a reason

    General CommentAgain...pretty obvious and straight-forward.

The decision to end a relationship with anyone or anything always seems to go this way. The start of the song sums of up the initial feelings of anger and frustration. There is no room for cliched sentiments of optimism or attempts at feeling better. Stubborness prevails and opinions and feelings remain unchanged at this point. The decision has already been made and any small attempts at preservation are futile.

Even though he is telling he/she/it to give him a reason, he is only using these lines to express the futility and hopelessness of it all. He's done.
