"You" as written by and Jonathan Luke/nixon Mcduffee....
If you're still up for chasing dreams
I've got a bottle, two glasses and a backseat.
And a lot of things to resolve
If you've got the time at all

I'm not one to be much different
Than who I really am
I lived my life for way too long
Trying to please everyone else.
Sometimes I should probably
Just bite my goddamn tongue
Well I've said too much a few times
But how much is enough

For you
'Cause I don't want to lose you

I was thinking about telling you
I was in love
I was in love with you

No palace of words will make this better
If there's deceit in every letter
You came to me with hope for a future
And I came to you with a waiting line

For you
'Cause I don't want to lose you

I was thinking about telling you
I was in love
I was in love with you
With you
With you
I'm in love with you

General CommentIf you listen to this song in conjunction with "Photographs and Gasoline" you'll see an almost perfect correlation between meanings

    (EX:)
"I was thinking about telling you
    I was in love
I was in love with her" --Photographs and Gasoline

    and

"I was thinking about telling you
    I was in love
I was in love with you" --You

Between these 2 songs I see the story of a guy who may have either cheated on a girl with someone else in the past, or might have dumped one girl in favor of another (Photographs and Gasoline) and then realizes he's made a mistake and is trying to remedy his ways and get back with the one he truly loves (You)

General CommentAnother simple yet perfect love song. I just love Framing Hanley! I love the way they put words together. I really can't stop listening to this album! And this song gets replayed everytime it comes up!

General CommentThis is a really good song. Nixon has taken his vocals to a very different level in this album.

Just a comment, but I really think he says "You came to me with hope for a future
And I came to you with a WEIGHTED LIFE." It would make a little bit more sense because if he had a weighted life, then one would see why he would hold back (I was thinking about telling you I was in love with you).

My OpinionThis is probably one of their best songs off the album its so honest and so beautiful. I think a rocket scientist could tell what it means hes in love with someone and wants to tell them.
