fact:
When pregnant,
she looked fat.

What if you
caught
the butterflies
and your friends
always stuck the pin through;
then you're like,
drowning in the bathtub.
You're as sad
as it is.

What has
our name become...
But a guilty pleasure
and nosdam drums.

    General CommentIt is almost impossible to explain the meaning of a song off of Ten out of the context of the full album, but this one is especially hard, especially taking it out of context of their career. This song is a reference to the band in it's entirety. The line "Fact: When pregnant, she looked fat" is a response to the line in I Promise Never To Get Paint On My Glasses Again, where Dose says "I wonder what my mother looked like pregnant." The lines about butterflies are a reference to Jimmy Breeze, which is partially about someone who he knew in art school committing suicide.

    This song is saying that the culmination of everything they have done as cLOUDDEAD is wearing thin, and to quote a line from 3Twenty "Sometimes I feel like a spoof of what I used to be, spoof of what I used to be."

    General CommentI always heard "you're a sadass, it is fact" but I may be wrong there. also does anyone know if it's Yoni or Doseone singing the robotic-sounding part ("oh what has our name become" etc)? It's hard to tell.
