Aurora my love
Do not scrutinize
A slap on the wrists
Feels like soap to my eyes

Should a slip of my tongue
Be a bullet in your gun
Aurora my love,
I'm leaving

Aurora my love
You can tell me how to think
Like I am your patient
And you are my shrink

But the more you guide my hand
The less I'll understand
Aurora my love,
I'm leaving

Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?

General CommentMaybe this song is about someone who is suffering with depression or suicidal thoughts. In the song, he says "Aurora my love, I'm leaving", personally to me this depicts that he doesn't want to hurt her any more with how he feels, emotionally. He loves her and doesn't want to be a cause of pain to her.

    Also,
"You can tell me how to think
    Like I am your patient
And you are my shrink" makes me think he feels he is burdening her with his emotional trauma. It alsô shows reliance on his part, like he needs to know what she thinks about him.

However, another point I found was
"But the more you guide my hand
    The less I'll understand"
I thought this could mean the longer he stays with her, the less he will understand about his conditions.

    Lastly,
    "Aurora my love, I'm leaving.
Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?"
This could show that he is serious about what he feels. "I'm leaving" could imply that he is leaving this world, ie, suicide, or he s just leaving her.
"Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?" He wants her to enjoy being away from him. He loves her enough to leave for the benefit of both of them.

Personally, this song is relatable to me. I feel like it was written about me. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

My OpinionThis song absolutely like a tale of the writer's experience, looks like it, right?

He found a girlfriend that look after him, like he couldn't understand why this girlfriend just so in love or care about him. Like, one day, she slapped him and at that time, he realized something that he couldn't make her happy.

Then, he was telling about the good way to break up the relationship is with telling the truth, "Should a slip of my tongue, Be a bullet in your gun."
Then, he was telling of how she seems trying to fight for the relationship, telling how to fix things and he's fine with it, "Like I am your patient. And you are my shrink." And he keeps denying it, "But the more you guide my hand, The less I'll understand."

And, the ending, he asking her, "Isn't it time you pushed yourself on someone else?"

That's it. She's trying to help him but he just hurt himself. :'(
