On a losing streak
That's got the best of me
Mirror mirror on the wall
Tell me that it's not my fault
It's easier to hear than to believe

But I don't wanna think about that no more
Turn on the lights and put my feet on the floor
Welcome the world into my bedroom door
I don't wanna sit and write another sad song about you

Damn these city lights
That keep me up at night
And I ain't go no place at all
In the stories written on these walls
I slip in the cracks as I walk by

But I don't wanna think about that no more
Turn on the lights and put my feet on the floor
Welcome the world into my bedroom door
I don't wanna sit and write another sad song about you

But I don't wanna think about that no more
Turn on the lights and put my feet on the floor
Welcome the world into my bedroom door
I don't wanna sit and write another sad song about you

General CommentI just think of someone holed up in a bustling city (providence) with nothing to do. Maybe he has just suffered from a breakup, and wants to keep *her* off his mind.
