I know a way out
if you catch my drift
hold it close
to your heart
let's just breathe
so just count it off
the worst is over at worst
we stand still
through the night

spin it back now
in through the out
we want a nice clean fight
no blood, no bite
when the end is near
let's just be frank
just let it sit, be still
we'll meet in the middle, c'mon

and inside me
it's hot as iron
I feel like I could pass in the night

spin it back now
in through the out
we want a nice clean fight
no blood, no bite
when the end is near
let's just be frank
just let it sit, be still
we'll keep this war cold
meet in the middle, c'mon

General CommentThis is a really cute song. Rather catchy, I must say.

General CommentUnless I'm missing the metaphor, this is literally about the Cold War; specifically, between the United States and the Soviet Union. This song has that 1950s-1960s pop song feel, so I assume its based on that specific time period.

"we want a nice clean fight
    no blood, no bite
    when the end is near
    let's just be frank
just let it sit, be still
we'll meet in the middle, c'mon"

That's fairly obvious, no? It's a 1950s-1960s Cold War tune.

General CommentYa its based off of the cold war but thats not the point of the song. He and presumably his lover are in a small fight but they keep it civil, like a "cold war" instead of a regular one. They are both pissed underneath but they aren't gonna blow up on each other yet; they are gonna try to keep it calm, despite all the obvious tension.

General Commentcatchy tune about being in a bit of a rut, a standstill, a 'cold war'. as camcoast said, obvious tension. just mix all the comments above
