"Youth" as written by and James Dustin Payseur....
It's not so worth getting all bent out of shape about
I turned my back on it and next you know it's all run out
Do you want to step outside, or do you want it right
I don't just what I feel, but I feel it all tonight

I give it all in these hours that we set aside
I know I'm feeling brief, but that's because my heart's untied
Don't want to trim anymore off of your only truth
We've got enough to spare 'cause we're awake throughout our youth

General Comment'night's hear now' makes no sense. I think it says 'next you know'.

General CommentAfter 'don't want a chin' it says 'any more alfafa only truth'.

... kidding, but does anyone know what it actually says?

It's not so worth getting all bent out of shape about
I turn my back on it and next you know it's all wrung out
Do you want to step outside or do you want a ride
I don't know just what I feel but I feel it all tonight

I give it all in these hours that we set aside
I know I'm feeling grief but that's because my heart's so tired
Don't wanna dream, thinking all our thoughts are only true
We've got enough to spare cause we're awake through half our youth

That's what I got. It's what I've settled on after repeated listenings

Song MeaningI read on a Beach Fossils session on daytrotter saying that the song is about being in a fight and the feelings surrounding being in that situation. I think this is a great interpretation.
