"After Glow" as written by Yannis Barnabas Emanuel Philippakis, James Smith, Jack William Bevan, Edwin Thomas Congreave and Walter James Morrison Gervers....
I know I could not last very long at all
Without you here to break my fall

I know I could not stand alone for very long
Without you there to take my call
'Cause you were better than whatever came before
Before you ran out and left me on the 100th floor

Get out, and go and find everyone you cared for
They, won't be there to see tomorrow
Get out, don't forget everything you cared for
For it, won't be nothing more tomorrow

No I could not do the things I did before
Leave you waiting there, by that open door
You were better than whatever came before
Without you here and my heart broken to the core

Get out, and go and find everyone you cared for
They, won't be there to see tomorrow
Get out, don't forget everything you cared for
For it, won't be nothing more tomorrow

No I could not stand to be alone for long
There's something missing in the ever afterglow
You were better than whatever came before
Without you here to save me, to save me from the dark

Get out, and go and find everyone you cared for
They, won't be there to see tomorrow
Get out, don't forget everything you cared for
For it, won't be nothing more tomorrow

General CommentI did my best. I'm sure I may have botched up a few lines. Let me know if anyone has suggestions and I will correct whatever is agreed upon.

General CommentI think the first line of the chorus is actually "Get out, go and find everyone you care for" not "who cared for you".

Also, this song sort of sounds to me like it means " You hurt me, so I'm going to go murder everyone you care about, and then possibly you as well."

General CommentTwo quick amendments: I think the fourth line is 'take your call' rather than 'take yur coat.' Also, the first phrase of the chorus sounds to me like 'Get up.'

I think the key to the meaning of the song is in the title. 'After glow' may mean a band of dust paricles lit up high in the atmosphere at twilight, or it may refer to the common expression amongst drug users describing lingering positive feelings after the main effects of a drug have worn off.
To be honest, I think both meanings of the word are equally applicable to the songs, which to me is about a special relationship with someone, not necessarily sexual or romantic. But this person has a unique and wonderful effect on the singer; this person has the ability to lift him up, to save him from himslf and others. But the song is also tinged with sadness, because just as the dust particles disperse, and the drugs wear off, so he fears this person won't be with him forever.
