Oh my brother, can you take me
Can you take me by the hand?
Oh my brother, can you take me
Can you take me by the hand?
Can you take me
Can you take me
Can you take me back?
Anybody, can you take me
Can you take me back?
Take me back to where I came from
Oh, take me back
(Are you happy here, honey?)
I ain't happy here, my honey
Can you take me back?
I ain't happy here, my honey
Can you take me back?
Can you take me
Can you take me
Can you take me back?
I ain't happy here, honey
Can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back?
Are you happy living here, honey?
Honey, are you happy living here?
I ain't happy living here, baby
Honey, can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Brother, can you take me back?
Can you take me back?
Can you take me where I came from?
Can you take me back?

General CommentPaul McCartney often has the theme of returning home. "Once there was a way, to get back homeward…" on Abbey
    Road
"As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre"
In interveiws he said his initial reluctance to participate in LSD experiments with fellow Beatles was due to
his understanding that once LSD taken, things would never be the same again, in his own words "there would be
    no way back home".
This short track, almost a lament, can perhaps be interpreted as a White Album era McCartney starting to weary
of the Beatlemania and longing for a return to simpler times.
