"Run the Heart" as written by and Derek Miller Alexis Krauss....
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

I wanna wanna hang a name on you
I wanna wanna hang a name on you
I wanna know what's good for you
I wanna know what's good for you

You wanna wanna hang a name on me
You wanna wanna hang a name on me
You wanna know what's good for me
You wanna know what's good for me

You don't know, you don't really wanna know
You don't know, you don't really wanna know
You take a heart, I can take out two
You take a heart, I can take out you

You don't know, you don't really wanna know
You don't know, you don't really wanna know
You take a heart, I can take out two
You take a heart, I can take out you

Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

My InterpretationIt seems like a really aggressive song to me, about a girl threatening her cheating boyfriend, or something similar, especially towards the end with "You take a heart, I can take out you"

My OpinionI like to be a complete geek and pretend that when they say "You take a heart, I can take out two" they are talking about the Doctor from Doctor Who (btw he has 2 hearts).

General Commenti always took this song to be about a couple trying to define their relationship
"hang a name" = labeling someone your boyfriend/girlfriend

My InterpretationIt's about how we view each other in our culture.

"I wanna hang a name on you, I wanna know what's good for you"
Everyone always tries to label and categorize someone based on their predetermined ideas of what 'that kind of person' is usually like.

"You wanna hang a name on me, you wanna know what's good for me/
You don't know you don't really wanna know"

We recognize everyone else trying to box us into these categories.

So I'm pretty sure this song is about how we recognize the categories don't fit us ("don't label me!") but we don't realize when we're so quick to use those categories to define other people.

General CommentUmmm.... I don't think its a Doctor Who reference. I think its a song that is simply just about the game of love and starting new relationships. When I first listened to this song I got an image in my head of two people randomly dancing together at a club. The singer is interested in this person, but doesn't know if they are interested in her or not. She even gives a warning that you shouldn't mess around with her, because she knows about the game as well.
