Do you remember, back when we were young,
When the trees would hide behind the sun?
Always hoped those days would never fade.

I remember how you looked at me,
With your eyes they're deeper than the sea,
How I used to tell you I was strong,
Well, you believed

I can make the world stop turning,
I can keep the rain from falling down.
I can make your dreams worth living,
If only we keep holding on,
If I'm strong enough.

Now that those days are long gone,
I can see that's not the same old song,
I can tell the smells will never fade.

It's not what I'm used to,
I need a fix, a shot to pull through,
How I used to tell you I was strong,
Well, you believed.

I can make the world stop turning.
I can keep the rain from falling down.
I can make your dreams worth living,
If only we keep holding on,
If I'm strong enough.

Whoa

Strong enough

Whoa

If I'm strong enough
If I'm strong enough

Do you remember, back when we were young
When the trees would hide behind the sun?
How I used to tell you I was strong,
Well, you believed.

I can make the world stop turning,
I can keep the rain from falling down.
I can make your dreams worth living,
If only we keep holding on,
If I'm strong enough.

(I can make the world stop turning
I can keep the rain from falling down)

Strong enough

(I can make you dreams worth living
If only we keep holding on)

If I'm strong enough.

General CommentVery beautiful song lyrics, it's quite saddening that I am the first comment on this song.
This song is only made more visceral when you learn that the lead singer, Anthony Basurto, died at the age of 26 in 2011.
