This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
It's falling to pieces
I stand and wait
There's no one to blame this time
Stand and brace
You're sure I can change your mind
Feel brave
There's no one to claim the lie
Stand and face
This is the warning
As the world sleeps without knowing
Choose your ground, lead or start running
Take your time, breathe, truth is coming
Take control, real change
This is the warning
As the world sleeps without knowing
Choose your ground, lead or start running
Take your time, breathe, truth is coming
Take control, real change
They've got it all worked out
Wish I could leave here now
Is there another way
Some other path to take
We will figure itout
Same people brought you down
They are controlling you
These people lead us
I saw them change the truth
They didn't want us to
There right before our eyes
I knew we'd made it
Don't take the easy ride
We're running out of time
This is the warning
I stand and wait
There's no one to blame this time
Stand and brace
You're sure I can change your mind
Feel brave
There's no one to claim the lie
Stand and face
This is the warning
As the world sleeps without knowing
Choose your ground, lead or start running
Take your time, breathe, truth is coming
Take control, real change
This is the warning
As the world sleeps without knowing
Choose your ground, lead or start running
Take your time, breathe, truth is coming
Take control, real change
They've got it all worked out
Wish I could leave here now
Is there another way
Some other path to take
We will figure itout
Same people brought you down
They are controlling you
These people lead us
I saw them change the truth
They didn't want us to
There right before our eyes
I knew we'd made it
Don't take the easy ride

This is the warning

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

just a little correction mate.. -lyrics as shown in original album case- :P
This is the spoken word section from the start of the song:
Now what we have to understand is that this comes from an extremely clever and skillful program, that has manipulated us into ways of thinking that may be contrary to our own interests, but beneficial to the interests of the powers that be... beneficial to the interests of those who control our lives, and tax us until we have hardly a penny left to spend, take our money, and plough it into the creation of huge, armed bureaucracies, which exist to oppress us. We live in a society today where we may not make decisions, to explore our own consciousness. If I am not sovereign over my own consciousness, then I am sovereign over nothing.
Couldn't track down who originally said all that, but to me it seems a pretty clear attack on the rampant leftism that is threatening to take over our society and hinder our progress as a race into the future.
The song sends a message to stand up for what you believe in as an individual and do what is right for you, not what is right for society as a whole, or more to the point, what is deemed to be "right" for society as a whole, by "society as a whole", which in essence means the "powers that be".
On rampant 'leftism'?? Seems like you've been manipulated by the program, my friend: the old 'left vs right' pseudo-battle which is constructed to keep people busy whilst the powers at be fuck us over. It's an attack on power and elites in general.
I bet you consider yourself a 'leftist'.
Hey man,

this was said by Graham Hancock, very wise man.

great song! love it.
