"Falling" as written by John Paul White and Joy Williams....
Haven't you seen me sleepwalking 'cause I've been holding your hand
Haven't you noticed me drifting
Oh
Let me tell you I am

Tell me it's nothing
Try to convince me that I'm not drowning
Oh
Let me tell you I am

Please
Please tell me you know
I've got to let you go
I can't help falling out of love with you
Ooh

Why I am feeling so guilty
Why I am holding my breath
Worry about everyone but me and I just keep losing myself

Tell me it's nothing
Try to convince me that I'm not drowning
Oh
Let me tell you I am

Please
Please tell me you know
I've got to let you go
I can't help falling out of love with you

Won't you read my mind
Don't you make me like you
And I hear

Please
Please tell me you know
I've got to let you go
I can't help falling out of love with you
With you
Ooh
Ooh

Haven't you noticed
I'm sleepwalking

General CommentI think the lyric goes:

    Won't you read my mind
Don't you make me lie here
    And die here

General CommentAs someone who has a history of holding onto relationships too long, I really appreciate how this song deals with that tense place of knowing that a relationship should end but feeling guilty about it.

My InterpretationI feel like this song is less about a relationship falling apart and more about someone fighting the struggle with depression.
It's a slow, sinking sort of thing that doesn't happen over night.

Those that are struggling with this kind of depression realize that they can't make themselves happy anymore, and thus try to help everyone else, and further sinking into their depression. Though the people suffering from depression are still fighting, wanting to get out of it, but stuck like quicksand. They just need a little bit of help pulling out of it.
Sometimes, though, it is unfortunate that the partner they once felt love for they can no longer feel those feelings of affection. They cannot feel it now, nor cannot remember the feeling anymore because of the depression. They realize what is happening, but cannot stop it, no matter how hard they try.
Also, depending on the partner, it is not uncommon for the depressed one to hear "Cheer up" or "you were once happy" or "you will be happy again" (Like the line "Tell me it's nothing
Try to convince me that I'm not drowning
    Oh
Let me tell you I am")
These are strange and foreign concepts to someone in the fight. It makes them feel guilty for having depression - they feel they should be happy when they aren't.
It also seems to me like she is wanting to save him the pain from her suffering and wanting to let him go so as not to hurt him further with trying to have him help her through something she has no idea how to fight herself.

My Interpretationthe meaning of the song is kind of straight forward. the relationship is at its end, as one person feels like they should move on but its hard to do so at the same time. it talks about the struggle at the fork of the road. everyone has felt this feeling before im sure.

My InterpretationI think that in this song, she doesn't like someone or decides they aren't good enough for her, but she doesn't want to hurt them. This explains why she's "feeling so guilty", "holding my breath", and "worried about everyone but me". She has this extreme guilt for not loving them any more and wishes she still did. "Try to convince me".
She wants to not have to tell him that she wants to end it and doesn't feel the same way, because she is so scared of hurting him. She hopes he already knows, making her job easier, so she's prompting him with "won't you read my mind, "haven't you seen me sleepwalking". She is trying to get him to admit that they should end it so she doesn't feel so horrible, or feel like she's breaking his heart.
