Small town life,
Got bigger everyday
She was thinking "wife"
and I thinking "date"

It was one year off
and one year on
Wanting to be to the muse to every song
Digging through my things that don't belong to her
They're mine and she's blind

I let go (Let go)
Not with a crazy woman anymore
How'd I let her go? (Let go)
Not with a crazy woman anymore
Crazy woman anymore

Small town girl
Wanting to have property
That isn't what I am
I am just a guy, you see

It was one year off
and one year on
Wanting to be the muse to every song
Digging through my things that don't belong to her
They're mine and she's blind

I let go (Let go)
Not with a crazy woman anymore
How'd I let her go? (Let go)
Not with a crazy woman anymore
Crazy woman anymore

(Spoken)
I phone'd her up
Told her that had to chat
At Apollo's bistro (How'd I let her go?)
That's where we met up at
She showed up fashionably late wearing her favorite hat
I broke the news and well..
That was that

That was that (That was that) x4

I let go, let go
Not with a crazy woman anymore
How'd I let her go?
Not with a crazy woman anymore
Crazy woman anymore

General CommentI think that this is about a girl wanting to being in a 'married' relationship, and the guy just wanted to date and not have all these strings attached so he had to let her go cause she got out of hand and he didn't want what she wanted.

General CommentYou're completely right except throughout the song he's asking himself over and over how'd I let her go? So you get this sense that this guy realized how much he loved this girl after he let her go and now years later he asks her to meet with him because he needs to confess his feelings for her and as they talk she tells him that shes found the one and he's too late. Sad song. I know the pain. I guess the saying is right you never know what you got till it's gone.
