Sometimes I wake up in my bed
And I don't know where I've been
Heart tells me a trip to cloud nine
Headache says that things just ain't fine

Wake up in the valley of dolls
And walls surrounding me
Blond ambitions they've been offering
Mother's little yellow helpers

Helpers, helpers, helpers

Country club martini crew
Extra olives just won't do
Valium makes your soul get higher
And enables fake gunfire

Queen bees lose to wasps
Ritalin filled debutante
When you don't like what you see
Hiding's easy in a SUV

Schizophrenic
Pathogenic
Psychogenic
Hallucinogenic

Photogenic
I been taking intelligent
Manic depressive
Aggressive

Psycho wards are so possessive
Attention deficit disorder
Hand-held cassette recorder

ADD, yeah
ADD, yeah
SUV, yeah
SUV, yeah
D-D-DA

Ooh, I gotta call my friend
Wait a minute, what I say I gotta do again?
Minute to minute, I feel like I'm in
The movie memento but I don't have a pen

Wait a minute, hey, hey
This the type of beat that make the ghetto girls play
Take a hit of haze, it's in the drain
You wish you seen P, man, you know she couldn't hate

That ghetto P and that ghetto cash
My ghetto eyes on her ghetto ass
You probably wanna know what planet we on
Can't help if I see everything in neon

Schizophrenic
Pathogenic
Psychogenic
Hallucinogenic

Photogenic
I been taking intelligent
Manic depressive
Aggressive

Psycho wards are so possessive
Attention deficit disorder
Hand-held cassette recorder

I know they think that we have lost it
My mom keep telling me that I should stop it
See what I like and I'm gon' cop it
You hit a new height, shit, I'm gon' top it

With the ADD makes a crazy me
And they can't see, that's why they blame me
Tell the women hi, I dip and dive
I skip and fly, I'm a different guy

When I open up my eyes sometimes
I don't know where I've been
Heart tells me a trip to cloud nine
Headache says that things just ain't fine

Driving in the SUV
ADD takes over me
Cruise control, reins full power
So the dolls can play with nose powder

Pull up to another dinner party
Hosted by Malibu Barbie
Pretty in pink
Princesses, candy floss, fresh bushes

Schizophrenic
Pathogenic
Psychogenic
Hallucinogenic

Photogenic
I been taking intelligent
Manic depressive
Aggressive

Psycho wards are so possessive
Attention deficit disorder
Hand-held cassette recorder

loooove this song, can't wait for her album. <3

    a few corrections?

i think it's 'heart tells me a trip to cloud nine/headache says that things just ain't fine' going straight into 'wake up in the valley...'. and then it sounds like 'blonde ambition' instead of 'gone ambition', and i think it's 'offering mother's little helpers', but i don't know what comes in between.

instead of 'crowds are turning' it sounds like 'pathogenic'. and 'this the type of beat that make the ghetto girls play' and 'you probably wanna know what planet we on'. and also 'dip and dive' instead of 'dip and die', and 'cruise control, reins full power/so the dolls can play with nose powder'.

I think this song (not including Pharrell's part, which is great but not part of the main lyrics) is about rich girls/materialism.

Lots of references to queen bees, country club martini crew, malibu barbies, blonde ambitions debutantes. These are the rich girls.

They "hide out" behind their candy floss and in their SUVs. AKA they hide behind an image, for an easy life "hiding is easy in an SUV ... cruise control".

However, they are really in a poor state of mind and get all sorts of diagnoses and drugs prescribed to them .. ritalin, valium, being manic depressive etc. Material things are another "drug" for them, as well as partying hard "nose powder" just because they can.

But they are really unhappy, and have no need for any of the drugs or diagnoses of their supposed conditions "my headache says things are not fine ... psychogenic sais quois".

Could be bullshit, but I think this interpretation might be right! Uffie always talks about being supposedly ADD, and she could be poking fun at the tendency for rich americans to diagnose their kids with ADD when they are really just little brats.

i think it's 'their party hosted by malibu barbie'. which is like, super similar, but seems to flow a little better? but i agree about 'candyfloss' - i just wasn't sure because that's the british word for cotton candy, lol.

also, 'offering mother's little YELLOW helpers'. took me ages to realise that's what the extra word was! but that makes sense. and it might be 'blonde ambitions, they've been offering' but i still hear something like 'apron' so i don't know.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
