(J-J-J-J-JR)
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
(I kinda feel like it don't make sense)

I'm thinking, baby, you and I are undeniable
But I'm finding our loves unreliable
I'm giving all I got to make you stay
Or am I just a roadblock in your way?

'Cause you're a pretty little windstorm out on the boulevard
Something like a Sunset, oh you're a shooting star
And I might drive myself insane
If those lips aren't speaking my name

'Cause I got some intuition,
Or maybe I'm superstitious
But I think you're a pretty sweet pill that I'm swallowing down
To counter this addiction, you've got me on a mission
Tell me darling, can I get a break somehow?
(How) could I say no?

She's got a love like woe
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh,
Girls got a love like woe (la-da-da)
I kinda feel like it don't make sense
Because you're bringing me in and now you're kicking me out again
Love so strong, then you moved on
Now I'm hung up in suspense,
Because you're bringing me in and then you're kicking me out again

It's like a hurricane, speed train, she's a moving car
Catch her in the fast lane, oh I gotta know,
Can I keep up with her pace?
Kick it into gear when I see that face

You can take up all my time cause you're the only one
That can make a storm cloud break, pulling out the sun
And I can't get caught in the rain
Can I get your lips to speak my name?

'Cause I got some intuition,
Or maybe I'm superstitious
But I think you're a pretty sweet pill that I'm swallowing down
To counter this addiction, you've got me on a mission
Tell me darling, can I get a break somehow?
(How) could I say no?

She's got a love like woe
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh,
Girls got a love like woe (la-da-da)
I kinda feel like it don't make sense
Because you're bringing me in and now you're kicking me out again
Love so strong, then you moved on
Now I'm hung up in suspense,
Because you're bringing me in and then you're kicking me out again

'Cause we only have one life
The timing and the moment,
All seem so right
So would you say you're mine? (We'll be just fine)
Would you say you're mine? (We'll be just fine)

She's got a love like woe
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh,
Girls got a love like woe (la-da-da)
I kinda feel like it don't make sense
Because you're bringing me in and now you're kicking me out again
Love so strong, then you moved on
Now I'm hung up in suspense,
Because you're bringing me in and then you're kicking me out again

She's got a love like woe
Whoa-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh,
Girls got a love like woe (la-da-da)
I kinda feel like it don't make sense
Because you're bringing me in and now you're kicking me out again
Love so strong, then you moved on
Now I'm hung up in suspense,
Because you're bringing me in and then you're kicking me out again

General CommentWhat a killer song. Really catchy and some very clever lyrics.

The main double entendre (double meaning) of the song: "love like woe" means that her love is both like "whoa," as in its impressive somehow, like she's attractive, or comes on really hard and fast to whatever guy she's interested in. But it also means that the love is like "woe," as in sadness, because that's what it causes because she moves on from people really quickly. Thus she's like a hurricane, speed train, moving car, she quickly moves on from guy to guy.

The rest of it isn't that hard to understand. The guy really likes the girl no matter what, she's the only one for him, the only one who can "make a storm cloud break, pullin' out the sun." He really wants her to like him, and she did, she brought him in, but then she moved on, and "kicked [him] out again." He wonders how he can get her to keep liking him, but it doesn't really work.

General Commentthis song is about how a couple falls in and out of love again. one moment he feels like theyre so in love with each other, but then she ignores him and moves on, and the cycle keeps repeating

    why don't ppl like them???
    they're freakin FANTASTIC.
and yeah, they do kids souls like relient k with owl city ^^
    haha.
    anyway,
i think the song is about a guy who's fallen hard for a girl, but she goes from guy to guy, never staying in a place for too long.
which causes him 'woe', heartache, but hes also like 'woah, that girl is pretty wonderful'.
    gotta love the double meaning[:

General Commenti love this song andd the ready set! i'm pretty sure it's about a guy and a girl and how she keeps pushing him away and doing things to make him want to leave, but he keeps coming back because he has a "love like woe" hah. and it doesn't make sense to him why he keeps going back to her but he does. good song (:

My OpinionWhy is it so few people like The Ready Set? I found him off of iTunes when I searched Never Shout Never. Then genius search popped up then The Ready Set was... there. Dum dum dum.

Song MeaningI love them so much and the irony in this song is amazing. The way many people don't actually see what this song about makes me feel accomplished because I know that the artist wasn't a dummie bear and used the wrong version of whoa but rather he is clever in his song writer... Well okay now I feel like a preacher so yep love the song just as much as the next person :D
