"The Goldfish Song" as written by and Kina Grannis....
I feel defeated again
I'm always losing to myself
I tried to build a better me
Shack to castle and it fell down

I had the right intentions
Sometimes, my hope envelopes me
And I can't learn the lesson
Not to send a goldfish to sea

This matter is mine
Don't worry, I'm fine
This matter is mine
I'm not going to give it up

I know what you've been thinking
Too soon to empty my cocoon
This butterfly is not ready
Wouldn't she know better than you?

This matter is mine
Don't worry, I'm fine
This matter is mine
I'm not going to give it up

General CommentI think this song might be partially about growing up and trying to do things on your own without others helping. It seems to also be about always messing up in that process, and always ending up wandering why she even try's to do anything in the first place.
