"Like A G6" as written by Niles Hollowell-dhar, David Singer-vine, Kevin Nishimura, Jae Choung, James Roh and Virman Coquia....
[Chorus]
Poppin' bottles in the ice, like a blizzard
When we drink, we do it right gettin' slizzard
Sippin' sizzurp in my ride (in my ride) like three six
Now I'm feelin' so fly like a G 6
Like a G 6, like a G 6
Now I'm feelin' so fly like a G 6
Like a G 6, like a G 6
Now I'm feelin' so fly like a G 6

Gimme that Moet (et)
Gimme that Crystal (stal)
Ladies love my style, at my table gettin' wild
Get them bottles poppin', we get that drip and that drop
Now now, give me two more bottles cause you know it don't stop

(808)
Hell yea
Drink it up, drink-drink it up,
These sober girls around me, they be actin' like they drunk
They be actin' like they drunk, actin'-actin' like they drunk
When sober girls around me they be actin'-actin' like they drunk

[Chorus]

Sippin' on, sippin' on sizz, I'm a ma, make it fizz
Girl i keep it gangsta, poppin' bottles at the crib
This is how we live, every single night
Take that bottle to the head, and let me see you fly

(808)
Hell Yea
Drink it up, drink-drink it up,
When sober girls around me, they be actin' like they drunk
They be actin' like they drunk, actin'-actin' like they drunk
When sober girls around me actin-actin like they drunk

[Chorus]

Its that 808 bump, make you put yo hands up
Make you put yo hands up, put yo, put yo hands up
(You can't touch this)
Its that 808 bump, make you put yo hands up
Make you put yo hands up, put yo, put yo hands up
(You can't touch this)
Hell yea, make you put yo hands up, put yo put yo hands up
Hell yea, make you put yo hands up, put yo put yo hands up

[Chorus]

General Comment"Fly like a G6" is probably why you're here... Once again, Mtv is F***ing with you.

Most will say that G6 = Gulfstream G650, a twin-engine aircraft under development by Gulfstream Aerospace shown at the end of the video.

Another term to watch out for is their reference to "Three 6". AKA, The Three (triple six) 6 Mafia. A Hip-Hop group from Memphis, TN.

So what? Well, here it gets tricky. Most are going to do the visual association. It's a Jet or car. They're acting "gangster" and getting "slizzy" (a Southern term for tipsy). But let's remove what you've seen in the video (or 'told to see'), and maybe you'll be enlightened?

    Urban Dictionary:
    G6
    1. "Gaysex" a.k.a. "Goodsex" a code term for guys who act like gay sex is gross just so people think they're homophobic.
    2. Something awesome & not disappointing.
    3. An electro-hop track called "Like a G6" by FM & the Cataracs (referring to a G6 Jet).

So taking def 1&2 (because we already acknowledge def 3) and getting "slizzy" is also an innuendo for a faux homophobic Southern drunk, who apparently isn't awesome, but not disappointing either. (like most drunks are) Meanwhile, the Three Six Mafia is from... so put it together:

    "Like a G6" = "Like a Southern faux-homo drunk who's gonna let you down."

If you think I'm reading too much into it, then you're not giving Mtv enough credit. You MUST take into consideration who is paying who, and getting rich off of whom. But it gets ~VERY~ complicated when you add Three 6 Mafia (Southern) to the FM (F.E.M, and get this, they're Asian American) and The Cataracs (Californian). It gets worse: Snoop Dog and the Kardashians are involved. In fact, they've probably featured the song on the show, or are in the midst of producing one.

    So, let's review:

    1. Let's 'fly' (act out, or pretend to be) like a faux drunk homophobic Southern. Even though we're Asian...
    2. Make enough money to get on a plane and go to Cali.
    3. Sell-out like a Kardashian. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Go ahead and shout racism, but the truth is, Mtv is well known to slip it by the censors. (see Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, 3Oh!3, etc.) It's their job. They hire psychiatrists for that sole purpose - To pinpoint their target audience.

Now let's get slizzy and fly our G6... :-S

General CommentI think 808 is referring to the TR-808, a drum machine used by many people for its great sound.

OsmOsis could be right, who knows! Some people are just smart like that, but Far East Movement probably just wanted to make a party song and the lyrics needed to be very cool, hence they are filled with mentions to overly sung about cool things; Moet, Cristal, that fancy G6 jet, 808 drums.

General CommentTHIS IS AN AWESOME SONG

If you put aside your pathetic critical boring opinions for just one second, you might actually listen to the music, and the catchy lyrics. Its a really good party song when your sober or drunk.
The meaning is pretty straightforward, G6's are cool and fly so they're LIKE a G6 so its a similie not a metaphor....critical and uneducated I see!

    Haha shame..

Song MeaningAlright I had a major epiphany.

"Sippin sizzurp in my ride, like Three 6
Now I"m feelin so fly like a G6"

Sizzurp is drugs, codeine to be specific.
    urbandictionary.com/…

So she says that she drinks Sizzurp then she feels fly like a G6, which is a plane. The concept of the song is about being high on codeine and Promethazine both found in the cough syrup that is part of sizzurp. She is high like a plane. Also, sizzurp has no alcohol so that could explain the "sober girls around me, they be actin like they drunk".

"Take that bottle to the head, and let me see you fly" also follows because fly=high in this song.

My OpinionThe funny thing is, the party kids who listen to this shit say my music is satanic (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin) when basically all those bands songs are about peace, love, revolution and other dark realities and how society is CONNECTED to Satan.

I'm not a bible basher or religious, but to be honest, this is one of the most "Satanic" songs I've ever come across if you think about what the bible says about drunkeness/alcohol and giving in to temptation/lust as referenced in the guys verses, and yeah, I've heard a lot of death metal in my time, and all that really does is drop Satans name.

Thirteen year old girls hear this on daytime radio and sing it constantly.

I believe in creative freedom but this is just mind control.

General Comment@OsmOsis - great great break down. Well thought through and totally appreciate the logical break down. To further add to to this:

808 = Area code for Hawaii.

A Bump = is considered, among other things, a flight leg

808 Bump is a hop or trip to Hawaii

The tune is very catchy and despite the obfuscation within the lyrics, it maintains a certain catchiness and uplifting element.
