Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely...

we're the ones who you paid to see a piece of my soul for your money
and it's my job, to smile while pigs feast
swallows slop out of the head of a crooked priest

a monster you sell is things like hell
and they know not to ask, think or tell
bang them all like good boys and girls
and we'll feed the shit wish you only could tell
and I go...

Head first in the river.
Head first in the river.
Lost my breath in the river.
Head first in the...

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

I forget your name.

what you believe they wanna know about me
I wear my lungs upon my sleeves
and that one there might as well be
fillin' his shot glass with gasoline

they made me live in the factory
where the made my friends and we worked for free
but that's alright, cause my soul i keep
and these bones are mere accidents.

Head first in the river.
Head first in the river.
Lost my breath in the river.
Head first in the...

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

We weren't built to last this long.

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to...
Yeah they love to.

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

Move it's what they say
sell them the bones that they love to hear break
I said move to another birth place
yours truly sincerely oh oh I forget your name.

General CommentI think this song is about a lot of the bands that are popular right now.

"we're the ones who you paid to see a piece of my soul for your money
and it's my job, to smile while pigs feast
swallows slop out of the head of a crooked priest"

This is blatantly talking about how EOTC play music from their heart and soul for a few bucks, while they have to sit and smile while kids are really just out there worshipping bands like Boys Like Girls and Forever The Sickest Kids.

"a monster you sell is things like hell
and they know not to ask, think or tell"

Selling shitty music and destroying everything that the word integrity stands for, and the "they" is referring to the kids who listen to that music and how they don't search for any deeper meaning, or question anything. They pretty much take whatever is plopped down in front of them and eat it right up. The rest of that part seems pretty self explanatory.

The chorus pretty much seems to be calling out the genre as a whole and telling them that it's time to move on, because the sons they're selling are empty and very fragile. The last line obviously being a slam on those bands, telling them that they are indeed very forgettable.

I'd do the rest of the song, but I think I've made my point haha.

General CommentI took it as priests molesting kids basically scaring the kids and the kids become machines.

Parents take their kids to church
kids are supposed to learn from the slop out of the head of the crooked priest.

we're the ones who you paid to see a piece of my soul for your money
and it's my job, to smile while pigs feast
swallows slop out of the head of a crooked priest

The monster you sell could be the religion you sell and they are breaking the law and sins.

a monster you sell is things like hell
and they know not to ask, think or tell
bang them all like good boys and girls
and we'll feed the shit wish you only could tell
    and I go...

    Great song

    General CommentGreat song.

    except it's:
"the mantra you sell, it stings like hell"

"play in the mud like good boys and girls and we'll feed you the shit that we're sure we can sell"

"would you believe they wanna know about me?"

"they made me in the factory"

swallow slop out of the "hand" not head.

hahah, just check lowcountryawareness.com for lyrics. even though it's kind of hard to read some of it.

Song MeaningI think this is Ryan calling out all these typical "hardcore" bands that have the oh so common "b0000tal" breakdowns. Before a breakdown its common for the screamer to say "move" ("move it's what they say"). And the kids go in the moshpits and hurt themselves for a band that has meaningless songs ("sell them the bones that they love to hear break"). Ryan is sick of these bands because they all sound the same and are so easily forgettable ("Yours turely sincerely, I forget your name") but get signed to major labels because apparently this music is really popular and bands like A Day to Remember and Attack Attack reap in all the cash while Envy, the talented band gets not even 1/3 of the recognition. It truly is a shame

General Commentanyone else notice the reference to "The Gift of Paralysis", he says "These bones are mere accidents," lol probably obvious to a lot of people but still it's a nice little nod to Lucy Gray which seems to be a completely different genre for them now
