"Watercolour" as written by and Robert Thompson Robert Swire Thompson....
When I'm falling down
Will you pick me up again?
When I'm too far gone
Dead in the eyes of my friends

Will you take me out of here?
When I'm staring down the barrel
When I'm blinded by the lights
When I can not see your face
Take me out of here
Take me out of here
Take me out of here
Take me out of here

All I believe and all I've known
Are being taken from me back at home
Yeah do your worst, when worlds collide
Let their fear collapse, bring no surprise

Take me out of here

Feed the fire
Break your vision
Throw your fists up
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me

Just stay where you are
Let your fear subside
Just stay where you are
If there's nothing to hide

Feed the fire
Break your vision
Throw your fists up
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me
Come on with me

    Lyric CorrectionWhen I'm Falling Down
Will You Pick Me Up Again?
    When I'm Too Far Gone
Dead in The Eyes Of My Friends
Will You Take Me Out of Here When I'm Staring Down The Barrel
When I'm Blinded by The Lights, When I Cannot See Your Face

Take Me Out of Here, Take Me Out of Here, Take Me Out of Here, Take Me Out of Here...

All I Believe, and All I've Known
Are Being Taken From Me, Can't Get Home

Yeah, Do Your Worst, When Worlds Collide
Let Their Fear Collapse, Bring No Surprise

    Take Me Out of Here...

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

Just Stay Where You Are, Let Your Fear Subside
Just Stay Where You Are, If There's Nothing To Hide

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

Feed The Fire! Break Your Vision!
Throw Your Fists Up! Come On With Me!

General CommentI think the song is to do with losing yourself, in a way, like depression, possibly, or something similar. I won't go into every single word of the song but here's an interpretation of mine:

"When I'm falling down" - becoming depressed, changing, losing yourself, you get the jist.

And then, "Will you pick me up again?" - the need to have someone there, wanting someone who will pick you up, or save or rescue you from this (metophorically), dark place, or depression.

"When I'm staring down the barrel" - personally, I'd say the "barrel" is most likely the barrel of a gun. The gun symbolises suicide/death/destruction. This could mean that the narrator/singer is considering suicide, about to commit suicide, or is in a mental state where all they can see is evil and it's destroying them.

"When I cannot see your face" - they want to be helped but it's going to take a lot to help/save them, and they're asking to be helped even when they can't see a light at the end of the tunnel, when they can't see a way out of their misery, etc...

and, "Take me out of here" quite clearly, is them asking to be saved.

"All I believe and all I've known
Are being taken from me, can't get home.
Lead to a world where worlds collide,
Let the fear collapse, bring no suprise
    Take me out of here"
[I corrected some of the lyrics as to how I hear them...]

In the above verse, the singer is describing his current experience, or his mental state. Everything he's known is being "taken" from him, like none of it means anything anymore. Everything he's ever known, (or at least thought he knew) is now wrong, and everything he's ever believed in is fake.

The "world" he's been lead to could also represent the dark mental state he is currently in.

He wants the "fear" to "collapse" because he wants it all to end, I suppose. He doesn't want to be in this position anymore, he doesn't want to be scared anymore.

I think the repetion of "take me out of here" emphasises how strongly he wants to basically, be ok again, and how he wants to overcome this depression.

He then changes his point of view in this verse:

    "Just stay where you are.
    Let your fear subside
    Just stay where you are
    If there's nothing to hide"

It seems that he feels like he can overcome the problems he's facing at this point, and for once, he feels strong and able. It's like he's talking to other people in the same situation that they can overcome it, too.

"If there's nothing to hide" - (possibly) meaning that the way you feel, the way you think and percieve things right now, none of it's real. It's some sort of illusion you've created in your mind, and depression does this kind of thing to people. I think he's talking about realising that you've created this unnecessary mess (not that you're to be blamed for it) and that you are able to defeat it, because there's nothing stopping you...

    what do you think? :-)

My InterpretationHey Steg, I believe its barrel. Anyway I would like to say my two cents on my interpretation.

    When I'm falling down
Will you pick me up again?
    When I'm too far gone
Dead in the eyes of my friends

Will you, take me out of here?
When I'm staring down the bottom
When I'm blinded by the lights
When I can't see your face
    Take me out of here

When hes fallen from grace or from a position of power "protection, or safety (ie) good standing) and he cant take back what hes done maybe treason or some crime and his friends are forced to abandon him. They all left him for maybe the safety of their own lifes and he is standing in front of a firing squad, looking down the barrels of their rifles. The light that is behind his friends is so bright so he cannot see his friends faces.

All I believe, and all I've known
Are being taken from me back at home
Yeah do your worst, when worlds collide
Let their fear collapse, bring no suprise
    Take me out of here

This part here is possibly his family, maybe more his reason for living maybe a woman? At this point he seems to have nothing to lose and is telling them to do your worst, possibly to not harm who he is protecting? At the same time it could be possibly he is telling them to rise up with him. (normally at a firing squad it is a detail of a few men to commence the execution, and a high ranking officer to oversee which that one officer can be over ran) Hes asking his friends to release him?

Feed the fire, break your vision
Throw your fists up, come on with me
Feed the fire, break your vision

Feed the fire, break your vision I think is referring to let your anger rise, see past your orders and fight back with me. Revolt against those who would have you harm your friend, for you could be next.

This is my first interpretation and first post here guys, I hope I did well and let me know what you think. Go easy on me. If you agree with me feel free to add your own critique or corrections :D

    Cheers.
