Gravity pulls and
We fall from the clouds
We prove to each other
That we're both human now
The time that we spent
Trying to make sense
Of it all

All that I'm asking for
Is that you need nothing more
And nothing comes in between
Our love and it's fragile, see
All that I'm asking for
You're all that I'm asking for

Now we walk together
Knowing where we've been
Knowing mistakes are being mistaken again
It's in the past tense
There is no making sense of it now

All that I'm asking for
Is that you need nothing more
And nothing comes in between
Our love and it's fragile, see

All that I'm asking for
You're all that I'm asking for

In the still of your hands
Anything can happen now
With every beat of my heart
Love speaks in silence

In the still of your hands
Anything is possible
With every beat of my heart

The time that we spent
Trying to make sense, of it all

All that I'm asking for
Is that you need nothing more
And nothing comes in between
Our love and it's fragile, see

All I'm asking for
Is that you need nothing more
And nothing comes in between
Our love and it's fragile, see

All that I'm asking for
You're all that I'm asking for

This is such a touching song. I especially like the first part:

Gravity pulls and we fall from the clouds We prove to each other That we're both human now The time that we spent Trying to make sense of it all

    My Interpretation

All that I'm asking for Is that you need nothing more And nothing comes in between Our love and its fragile scene All that I'm asking for

for me means that like the girl or the guy is telling their other is really the only thing i ask form you is that i'm all you need. No matter what is going to happen nothing will ever come between us.

i also think it could be you best friend that you've known forever and you want to everything they ask for. escpically if you falling for your best friend. especially if you best friends a guy and u seem to be falling for him but you never want to admit it. <3 this song. when i get married whenever that'll happen i want this to be our first song

Magical song, beautiful lyrics. Especially love these lines:

"Now we walk together Knowing where we've been Knowing the stakes of being mistaken again It's in the past tense There is no making sense of it now.."

Thoughts & feelings that I think are universally experienced at least once by a person while in a relationship.

I think this song is about moving forward from past mistakes or regrets. It is a waste of time to dwell in the past and spend time "trying to make sense of it all," especially when you have the present moment by the side of someone you love.

To me this song could be about a couple who broke up and got back together. By breaking up they realize how fragile love can be. This is a scary thing to acknowledge because initially it is comforting to believe that one's relationship is "unbreakable." But once it is broken, the new reality for the couple is that love is fragile and needs to be nurtured.

When my boyfriend and I got back together after breaking up for a few months we spent months trying to figure out the endless details about what happened, why we broke up, exc. Truth be told, all we really cared about was knowing what these lyrics say:

"All that I'm asking for Is that you need nothing more And nothing comes in between Our love and its fragile scene All that I'm asking for"

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
