You were my hopes, you were my dreams, you were
my goals
You were the reason 1 could live You were my pride, you were my joy, you were my
love
That's why I took all you would give
You made my life so full, your love for me so pure
You were my only friend, all sorrows you could cure

Chorus 1
But now you're wearing
It starts another bout
Can't take it - let me out
I'm going Crazy But Proud
I’m crazy and proud
Shout it out loud
Crazy But Proud

You took my hopes, you took my dreams, you took my goals
You took away my will to live
You took my pride, you took my joy, you took my love
Now I have no more to give
You left me down and out, begging you for more
You were my suicide - left me passed out on the floor
Chorus
Just one more time — But will it be the last time?
You make me shake, you make me bum, You make me rage
You make my life so hard to live
You left down, you left sick, you left me poor
You left me, Lord now please forgive
I slammed the door on you, but you just broke it down
I tried to hide from you, but always I was found

So now I try again
But I cannot pretend
That we won't meet again
And I stay Crazy But Proud
I hope and I pray
That they'll always stay
And one day I’ll say Sober & Proud

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
