You're red, soaking wet.
I'm right next to you.
You're red, soaking wet.
Lets writhe, let me see you trip.
One move that will keep you wet.
Lets fall in a long sadistic trance.
Put the keys in our hands.

Guns. Razors. Knives.
(Fuck with me)
Guns. Razors. Knives

You're red soaking wet.
I'm right next to you.
You're red, soaking wet.
Lets sail in this sea of charms.
Lets drown underneath the stars.
Lets drink with our weapons in our hands.
Lets sleep in this trance.

Guns. Razors. Knives.
(Fuck with me)
Guns. Razors. Knives

You're red soaking wet.
I'm right next to you.
You're red soaking wet.

Guns. Razors. Knives.
(Fuck with me)
Guns. Razors. Knives.

You're red soaking wet.
I'm right next to you.
You're red soaking wet.
I'm right next to you.
You're red soaking wet.

its about being in a long term relationship with someone, and having a mutual dislike for each other:

[You're red, soaking wet I'm right next to you You're red, soaking wet]

Since you cant stand each other, you just do all these things to piss each other off

[Let's writhe, let me see you trip One move that will keep you wet]

because they know each other so well, and give each other their deepest vulnerabilities,

[[Let's fall in a long sadistic trance Put the keys in our hands]

They have an assortment of things they can threaten to say to seriously hurt each other emotionally:

[Guns, razors, knives Fuck with me]

and with knowing how to piss them off, they also know how to charm each other like no one else can; something special and romantic for them is being under the stars together, and all the fighting and negatives feelings wash away:

[Let's sail in this sea of charms Let's drown underneath the stars]

So they continue being together and do the things they both enjoy doing, like drinking, partying, whatever, and mutually know they want to always be together in this 'trance' even if they have to up with the guns, razors, and knives:

Let's drink with our weapons in our hands Let's sleep in this trance

(You're red, soaking wet I'm right next to you You're red soaking wet)

This part reminds me of the song "Your Skull Is Red" by Team Sleep, which talks about (in my opinion) how as he kills this person, they are becoming red, and he feels gold, which is saying that he feels good about what he had just did. So this is maybe like how whoever this person was is dying in his arms, he's right next to them. But so far you don't know what happened, if he had killed them or if something else had happened.

(Let's writhe, let me see you trip One move that will keep you wet Let's fall in a long sadistic trance Put the keys in our hands)

Writhe, refers to violent motion or twist, any movement that happens while your in pain. let me see you trip, it could be a drug reference. the next line can be taken in a sexual manner. third line is a bit confusing, since sadistic is usually a negative word, which brings the word violence to mind. Put the keys in our hands, seems to refer to putting their fate in their own hands.

(Guns, razors, knives Fuck with me Guns, razors, knives)

The more I look at this the more I get the feeling that the song is about two people fucking, and the guy is just trying to find something to provoke her so they have a fight, he wants to be fucked with because he has violent thoughts running through his mind and wants to let it out.

(Let's sail in this sea of charms Let's drown underneath the stars Let's drink with our weapons in our hands Let's sleep in this trance)

First line might be about how he used charisma to pick her up at a bar or something, and the other lines talk about how he drinks with the thought of murder in his mind. To her it will all seem like a trance.

I'm probably wrong about it but that's my thought, some guy goes to a bar, picks up this chick and kills her while they fuck.

This song is all about rough/violent sex and this guy pretty much propositioning this girl to have a wild time. "You're red, soaking wet" is him saying, "I know you're as horny as I am" (red, soaking wet = aroused vagina...think about it). "I'm right next to you" is him saying "I'm game for some fun".

The chorus is pretty much just a representation of violent, pain inflicting devices to show this girl that he's down for the rough stuff.

The other verses are just pretty much suggestions on what they could do together should she say yes.

Pretty simple. The guy's super horny, thinks the girl is too and wants to a wild time.

Wen I first heard the live version, all I could hear was "soaking wet" so I assumed it was about sex. Then someone suggest he said razors, and I thought "violent sex, awesome". Now that I've heard the studio version...yup, that's what I'm thinking it's about.

    My Interpretation

I think it's simply finding pleasure in self-injury (or of each other). Pleasure to the point of giddy trancelike states, much of it sexual energy.

You're red, soaking wet (bloody and aroused) I'm right next to you (reassurance and sharing the experience)

Let's writhe, let me see you trip (writhing in a trip of enjoyment) One move that will keep you wet (double meaning - another nick that bleeds and she gets off on)

Let's sail in this sea of charms Let's drown underneath the stars (enjoying the ride)

Let's drink with our weapons in our hands Let's sleep in this trance (getting lost in it)

Guns, razors, knives Fuck with me (remember he's only NEXT to her, not on top of...fuck WITH me, not fuck me. It's like mutual masturbation except with weapons) Guns, razors, knives

    My Interpretation

I think this song is about rape. With the "red soaking wet" thing I'm thinking he's talking about very rough sex. The girl is wet but she is also bleeding. He is saying things to calm her down the whole time and try to convince her to go with it like "Lets sail in this sea of charms. Lets drown underneath the stars. Lets drink with our weapons in our hands. Lets sleep in this trance." But the several references to guns razors and knives remind me of threats. Like he is saying if she calls the police then he will hurt her.

From the first time I heard this song, two things were obvious: it was pure fucking magic, and also probably about a very dysfunctional, yet very addictive relationship with a shitload of drugs and dirty sex thrown into the mix. She's "red soaking wet," and he's "right next to" her because she is injured, and he caused it (she abuses him, too, when he says, "Guns, razors, knives, fuck with me." Probably meaning she has more than one way to hurt him)..."Let's writhe, let me see you trip," has several meanings. First, it is obviously sexual. Second, it is obviously drug-related. Third, it refers to the endless cycle of argument/violence in their relationship, and wanting the other person to be wrong, or "trip." The lyrics that follow in that stanza also have the same double and triple meanings as above. A love-hate relationship topped with a heroin-cocaine-soaked cherry....Mmmmmm!!!! That sounds like a wholesome evening! When he says, "Let's drink with our weapons in our hands," that's like saying, we're gonna get fucked up and everything will be fun for a temporary period, but the rage/dysfunction/hatred is still right there underneath the surface, and it's only a matter of time before it explodes again. BUT, we will fuck each other rotten after our violent fight (notice how he says, "Fuck WITH me," as in "hurt me," but then later says, "Fuck me," as in, "fuck me." Hey, I don't represent the shit, I'm just breakin it down for ya.). Watching the video later only further affirmed what I thought this song was about all along. Copyright Leah White, bitches!

    My Interpretation

Ummmmm............. with this interpretation i'm just scrachin' the surface so i might be wrong, but anyways i think this song has sourt of the same meaning as beware on saturday night wrist, even though he explains the drugs nd stuff as something gratifying (Let's fall in a long sadistic trance, Let's sail in this sea of charms, Let's sleep in this trance, etc)i think that when he says: let's drink with our weapons in our hands he's reffering to the drugs. The lines which says let's writhe let me see u trip one move that will keep u wet i think that since writhe means to twist painfully or somethin like that he's reffering to how a person would try to get out of being an addict (which is painful) but then seeing him trip (which would be not going through with it) nd lastly the line: one move that will keep u wet reffers to how trippin' will keep u in that same state u were in before (which is an addict) nd since being wet is being reffered to as being fuked up then i think that explains the chorus. Another line which he says: put the keys in our hands i think he's reffering to the drugs as being the keys so he could open up that state of euphoria that he explains. finally i think the line which says: let's drown underneath the stars he is reffering to dying while being fuked up. Oh! nd i'm not sure wat he means by Guns, Razors, Knives, fuk wit me..... but like i said i only scratched the surface i wouldn't be suprised if i got it wrong so feel free to correct me........................ anyways cant fukin wait for 5/18 to come!!! the first time i discovered the deftones is like i finally found a missing piece of myself they r fukin great!=D

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
