"Before Destruction" as written by and Britt Daniel....
Before destruction a man's heart is haughty
Everyone loves you for your black eye
They feast on the abundance of your house
Your love

I want to believe
For once to believe now

Just as you're leaving you turn around and take a cold shot
Just as you're turning your back

Ah love
Your love

General Commentevery time i hear the line "They feast on the abundance of your house" i can't help but think of The Odyssey.
perhaps the album could be a transference from this ancient text to that of a modern concept album?!?!? just a thought.

General Comment"Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility."

An interesting quote. from an interesting source.

    a well-read songwriter, clearly.
