"Hand Me Down Your Love" as written by Joseph Goddard and Alexis Benjamin Taylor....
Hand me down your love
Hand me down your love
Hand me down your love
Hand me down your love
Hand me down your love (When I'm feeling sick)
Hand me down your love
Hand me down your love (When I'm losing it)
Hand me down your love

Open up my love
Open up my love
Open up my love
Open up my love
Open up my love (When I'm feeling sick)
Open up my love
Open up my love (When I'm losing it)
Open up my love

I've known for a long time
You are my love life
Why can't I be bright like my lover's light?

Write me down my love
Write me down my love
Write me down my love
Write me down my love
Write me down your love (When I'm feeling sick)
Write me down your love
Write me down your love (When I'm losing it)
Write me down your love

I've known for a long time
You are my love life
So why can't I be bright like my lover's light?
I've known for a long time
You are my love life
So why can't I be bright like my lover's light?
I've known for a long time
You are my love life
So why can't I be bright like my lover's light?

General CommentNot really a correction, but perhaps just a missed punctuation. I think a comma (first line only) should be placed:

    "Write me down my love.
    Write me down your love."

    with

    "Write me down, my love.
    Write me down your love."

Although these lines are identical, aside from the words "my" and "your", I feel like they have different underlying messages:
"write me down, my love" -- please recognize what i am to you. validate me by 'writing me down' in your head and accepting who or what i am (maybe your true love?).
"write me down your love" -- now that you know who i am (your true love?), can you write down all about your feelings/love for me?

I'm also thinking about the line: "Open up my love". This line could be read in 2 ways:

"open up, my love" -- stop being closed up and open up your heart by giving into it, my love.
"open up my love" -- ive been closed up, too. i want you to open up my heart.

It could be go either ways, but maybe it's meant to be read both ways in alternating sequence? omg, am I looking WAYY too hard into this? lol what the hell...i'm really stoned and just realized this is stupidly long time to have been spent analyzing a comma.

General CommentI think the comma cant be there because it would create a contradiction in what the lyrics are trying to say
