"Silo Song" as written by and Laura Veirs....
Dreaming of a silver silo burning in the light
Venus de Milo soldered in the side
Thought I caught her smile

Am I going, am I going up in smoke
Am I going, am I going up in smoke

Dreaming of birds of prey at battle
On a burning saddle, a rider lost in flames
What of all the games she played with beauty and love
Have I gone up in smoke

Have I come up, have I come up in smoke
Have I come up, have I come up in smoke

Venus de Milo calls
Venus de Milo falls

General CommentIn the this she is manipulated and enslave by love/lust (Venus/Aphrodite is the goddess of lust).

In the first verse she dreams of a silo burning with Venus De Milo carved on the side, and even though the flames the carving seems to be smiling as if she (Venus) callously enjoys how much this torments the singer.

The singer then begins to question herself, wondering if she too is going up in flames.

The next verse describes the battles she's fought with Venus De Milo, or the games the singer has been forced to play. In the last line she wonders if she has lost herself to that lust (Venus).
