Gone for a day, seen the better you are
How far away, will it take, to be home?
All these days, have all gone away
Hours and hours left for all the strays

Safely there by the window
Where the sunlight sting your eyes
Send to me all your bad luck
Set your blessings aside
All these days, have all gone away
Hours and hours left for all the strays

In a way you could say I was decent
I made you laugh without reason
I built it up to be ruined
I slurred some words and I knew it
I wrote it all to erase it
I saw a chance we could make it
I stole the page to replace it
I made a promise to break it
I saw a chance we could make it
I stole the page to replace it
I made a promise to break it

General Commentgotta love this song, it actually describes the lyric writing process on the album, how they ditched their lyrics and rewrote and semi-improvised them... "i slurred some words and i knew it" does not give much hope to those of us trying to decipher the lyrics! ... thanks mat!
