She is the queen of anarchy, I am the only one who cares
I met her in Minnesota over some pizza and diet soda
She's into pain and Purple Rain
I'm into robots and music
We're drowning in Minnetonka, hoping to purify ourselves
And I sing,
"Not that I am special, not that you're some work of art
Let's lose us some sleep and that is somewhere to start."

Let's get!
Physical!
Try and break our bones tonight.
Let's share chemicals
Try and break our bones
Try and break our bones tonight

She is the gin and I'm vermouth in these mad cocktails of despair
We try hard to keep it sober until the universe fucks us over
To tell the truth, we're badly bruised, there is no future and we both are thinkin',
"So this is my dinosaur life...so this is my dinosaur life."

I know that I'm not special and you're nobody's work of art
Let's lose us some sleep and that is somewhere to start.

Let's get!
Physical!
Try and break our bones tonight.
Let's share chemicals
Try and break our bones
Let's get!
Physical!
Try and break our bones all night
Try and break our bones tonight

Not that I am special, not that you're some work of art
Not that we're not perfect for each other's fucked up hearts
Beating through the evening, bearing witness the searing,
Feeling alright

Let's get!
Physical!
Try and break our bones tonight
Let's share chemicals
Try and break our bones
Let's get!
Physical!
Try and break our bones all night
Try and break our bones
Try and break our bones
Try and break our bones tonight

    General CommentFirst off this song is amazing! Secondly, I love how realistic it is. To me this is just like a love song that actually relates to real life. He knows neither of them are perfect, they are both fucked up but they are good for eachother and he wants to get it on. simple really.

    except I thought it was "bearing witness to the ceiling" am i wrong?

    General CommentI thought it was

    'I'm not robots and desserts'

    But idk. Because this song isn't on the album. So it's not in the lyric book. :|
    (kinda mad it's not on the album, I love it!)

    General CommentI first heard this song when I was studying Shakespeare's sonnet 130 in english.
    They are very similar I think.

    My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
    Coral is far more red than her lips' red;
    If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
    If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
    I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,
    But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
    And in some perfumes is there more delight
    Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
    I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
    That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
    I grant I never saw a goddess go;
    My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:
    And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
    As any she belied with false compare.

    It's about a woman not being perfect but still loving her.

    Also sex,
    getting physical,
    breaking bones and
    sharing chemicals
    all about sex :)
