"Hold The Heathen Hammer High" as written by and Heri Joensen....
Heathen heart
Pagan pride
Faring far
Sword by Side
Tribal times
Northern nights
Hidden high
Runic rites I was told
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Ever true unto your forefathers stalwart stay
Hold the Heathen Hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Down the wayward way so far faring strangers stray
Hold the heathen hammer high
Weather wild
Blackened blade
Angry eyes
Ruthless raid
Heathen heart
Pagan pride
Faring far
Sword by Side
Hard and cold
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Ever true unto your forefathers stalwart stay
Hold the Heathen Hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Down the wayward way so far faring strangers stray
Hold the heathen hammer high
From a pagan past that only the heathen hold
From the far end of the world and of times untold
I bring message to your mids of the ways of old
Ways reluctantly abandoned if truth be told
Ways abandoned for a scavenger of our souls
Living on malicious lies, hiding in the holes
Cruel and credible as any our tale of trolls
Hold the heathen hammer highest of all your goals
Hold the heathen hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Ever true unto your forefathers stalwart stay
Hold the Heathen Hammer high with a battle cry
For the pagan past I live and one day will die
Hold the heathen hammer high, never turn away
Down the wayward way so far faring strangers stray
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high
Hold the heathen hammer high

General CommentClassic type of Tyr song; just about Norse pagan religion and lifestyle. Fuckin' awesome.

General CommentThis song is not quite antichristian but rather traditional and it seems like their culture( nordic culture) is suffocated by christianity in any way possible and seem this song is like a fight back against christianity as seen from the official video released by the band. They actually are more focused on their culture which embraces the manliness to accept things they did bad rather than lie like christians and pretend a false repent...This song is an embrace of a life style. Message for ApolloniusRex: "NO CHRISTIANS ALOUD!"

My OpinionThe meaning of the lyrics are pretty obvious: better atheist, pagan than christian and keeping the habit because they are way better (smart, sincere, direct) comparing to christians whose majority is just a stench of cowards, liars and deceivers. This is what the song shows and proves with todays facts what christian church did to other countries compared to pagan nordic countries like.

General CommentPURE.PAGAN.POWER. Love the video, too. This may very well be Týr's masterpiece.
HAIL TÝR--rock on, brothers! Here and in Valhalla beyond. Love y'all.
HAIL TÝR, ancient Norse spirit of justice, sign of victory for the earthborn! For your honor, Tiwaz... in the east, the south, the west, and in the north... I will fight my way to hell, sword in hand, hard and cold. And the gates of Hell will not prevail against us.
HAIL HEATHENS! Death to all tyranny.
