The morning’s here, and we’re still caught up in the night.
The sky was clear, and everything felt right.
Our time is short, but I’m sure I’ll see you soon.
We’ll take another walk along the bridge, and underneath the moon.

What a find, If I could I’d hit rewind and replay.
All the moments that I wished, I could’ve called you mine.

And tonight, I pray.

Light a way, on my love.
Light a way, from above.
Shine it down, lead me home,
Back to him.

A night away, and we’ve got a few to go.
And I’ve mastered the art of missing, and my smile lacks a glow.
That you showed me how to shine that very night.
We were entwined, Oh God how I wish you were mine.

And tonight, I pray.

Light a way, on my love.
Light a way, from above.
Shine it down, lead me home,
Back to him.
Bring me back to him.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my heart you choose to keep.
And if I die before I wake, all of me is yours to take.
If I don’t see you again, I’d take all I have within.
Maybe I’ll just stay awake, I think I’ll just stay awake.

Light a way, on my love.
Light a way, from above.
Shine it down, lead me home,
Light a way, on my love.
Light a way, from above.
Shine it down, lead me home.

Aw, this one is my absolute favourite.
Seems like the two get to spend a night together, and they want it to last longer than it does. They're in a long distance relationship perhaps? They're hoping for a sign that things will work between them and that the other person is who they are meant to be with (the light).

General CommentI think it's about one of them leaving for college. They're not even together but they definitely love each other but probably don't think they should start their relationship with one of them leaving. She wants a light to shine on the love that have and have shared to see if they can still make it work even though they're apart.

Song MeaningThe morning’s here, and we’re still caught up in the night.
The sky was clear, and everything felt right.
Our time is short, but I’m sure I’ll see you soon.
We’ll take another walk along the bridge, and underneath the moon. -- she starts it talking about the night when they were together, saying that it was not enough time for their love, and they will still have another chance to see each other again and it wont be the end for them.

What a find, If I could I’d hit rewind and replay.
All the moments that I wished, I could’ve called you mine.-- she's amazed with how she was lucky to find someone that is so special to her and that she wished to live all of the moments that they spent together all over again. maybe making it even better and calling him her's so it would be like if she was saying that she could have changed something so they could be even more then what they were.

    And tonight, I pray.

Light a way, on my love.
    Light a way, from above.
Shine it down, lead me home,
Back to him. -- here she's desiring to come back to him and praying so that during the time that they are apart nothing changes because she wanna go back and this time more certain that home is where he is, not anywhere else.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my heart you choose to keep.
And if I die before I wake, all of me is yours to take.
If I don’t see you again, I’d take all I have within.
Maybe I’ll just stay awake, I think I’ll just stay awake. -- instead of asking for her, she's now praying for him not to forget her and she's considering that even if he does, she'll still belong with him. she feels like she just doesn't want to let it go or stop thinking about it and instead she'll "stay awake" so then she can have the certainty that she wont let it go for even one moment.

    sweet song for a bitter situation. ;/ :}

General Commentthe night is over but the feelings and memories haven't left.
She still remembers how it all felt what the night had brought them.

she know's that they will see eachother soon but she doesn't know
in what way. she is wanting so bad for it to be like it once was
to be led back to the boy. "lead me home, back to him, bring me back to him"

she is prying because she remembers those nights. she remembers how it felt to be
entwined and she cant help but say "oh G-d I wish you were mine"

she wants to find her way back to her love. back to the boy she was entwined ith. back to the boy she walked along bridges and underneath the moonlight with. She is praying for life
to bring them back to the place they once was.

Maybe they are not far physically, but it is someting else keeping them apart.
we have memories we love to look back on, but we can never go back to.
this boy is in between a memory and a place she can return to.

she would if she could only find the way. she's singing hoping he's more than a memory. one. left to look back on. hoping she's like those night skys that never felt like they ever left.

(this is all what I take from it, only the writer truly knows what it is about)

    a very beautiful song.

General CommentI'm not trying to be one of those people who knows people in a band are Christian and then takes every song of theirs and analyzes it and says, "See?! See that line there?! That's CHRISTIAN." But. I know this song is fairly ambiguous in meaning, and the ONLY reason I tend towards it having a religious meaning is the fact that she uses "God" and I don't think she would take the Lord's name in vain in a song, which leads me to believe she's speaking to Him. But I could be wrong!

General Commenti think she's quite religious but not in every song. His Name is a reference to Christ for sure, but only this song and his name are really full on religious.
