This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.

It's about a drag show. She already said it in an interview. I'm from Nashville and everyone is saying she wrote it about Play, the gay club where they have awesome drag shows twice every night.
Some people need to be introduced to culture. Lol she is clearly and obviously talking about a gay club. Not just a rave. Glitter on the floor is evident enough without her interviews. Taking it off....drag shows. They come on usually fully clothed and by the end of their act they are about 95.9% naked. All gay clubs seem to be a taboo (dirty whole on the wall) not literally a glory hole like some naive person said. Hole in the wall is used to describe something underground and not to the likings of mainstream. And gay clubs get pretty crazy. so there. no need to speculate any more.
I live in Nashville, too. I'm a college student, so I regular the club on Wednesdays. The dancers say that they have seen Ke$ha there on multiple occasions. Of course, this may just be rumor to pump up the club, but I do believe she's been there at least once. I also believe the song is about Play. I've heard that from so many different people.
