Playing and playing.
Trying to satisfy the lives of undesirables.
How much more will I beat my friend the dead horse?

Will this end and how will it affect
the player, who only knows how to play?

Something will be missing.
Will I have found what I'm looking for?
This middled mess of half accomplishments.

Playing and playing.
Trying to Satisfy the lives of undesirables.
How much more will this take and how will it affect
the player who only knows how to play?

Do you believe what I'm saying?
Do you believe the words I spray in your face?
Something will be missing.
Will I have found what I'm looking for?
Will I have found why I've been here alone waiting?

Playing and playing.
Trying to satisfy the lives of undesirables.
How much more will I beat my friend the dead horse?

Will this end and how will it affect
the player, who only knows how to play?

General CommentI think this is a long reference to all the people who play role playing games (Dungeons & Dragons, etc), both board and computer (I guess) and how useless they are as people. (I say this gently, as I use to be really into that stuff).

I think it's all beautifully summed up in the last line:

Will this end and how will it affect the player, who only know how to play?

Off the top, the "player who only knows how to play" is a reference to the social ineptitude of these people: sure they can function in the game, or "play," but can do little else in real life.

PTW also asks, "Will this end and how will it affect the player?" Thus posing the question of whether or not these people will ever grow out of this fantasy phase, and, if not, what will become of them?

Not sure if it's accurate, and (once again) I have nothing against those D&D geeks, but this does raise the interesting point of, quite frankly, "why?" or, at least, "why so much?"
