And a voice said....

Come out, come out, wherever you are
I'll be your king now people-
You can call me God
You better bow down cuz I made you all that you are
I beat the devil down myself-
I'm laying down the law
Yeah, I'm dropping plagues from Egypt to Abu Ghraib
Respect is what you'll pay
Now follow me or get out the way
And pray for a quick death cuz I will leave nothing left
Motherfucking right - Just serve, worship, and watch your step
You try buying me out - And I will make you pay
They try smoking me out - And I'll burn 'em away
You cast a shadow of doubt - And I'll bring the pain
Now bow down and drown in my REIGN

Let it go - Let it go
Sleep deep - Come on and do the Devil's dance
Let it go- Let it go
Free will never had a fucking chance
Let it go - Let it go
Sleep deep - Come on and do the Devil's dance

Wake up and get your MOURNING started
Darkness has departed
If it's broke- You bought it
There's no refunds, and there is no returning
If you're right you're serving
If you're wrong- You're burning
I'll cut you ample slack to tie your noose
But never cut your loose
You better love to be used
Cuz I contend that I'm your only friend
I am your only mend
I am your lonely end

You're dying but don't stop from living it up
You're dying but don't stop
(you're living in a dream)
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
Yeah, your dying but soon you'll be dead
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
You're dying but don't stop
(you're living in a dream)
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
Yeah, your dying but soon you'll be dead

Don't sweat it, just forget about it
If you think- You'll doubt it
If you blink- You'll rout it
The words were written to remind you all-
To keep your blinders on
Remember you've been reborn
I'll cut you ample slack to hang your neck
And when you genuflect-
You better pay respect son
Cuz I contend that I'm your only friend
And as your soul descends-
I'll transcend pretend to your end

You're dying but don't stop from living it up
You're dying but don't stop
(you're living in a dream)
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
Yeah, your dying but soon you'll be dead
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
You're dying but don't stop
(you're living in a dream)
You're dying but don't stop from living it up
Yeah, your dying but soon you'll be dead

And a voice said...
Bow down and drown in my REIGN
I'm dropping plagues like commercial holidays
Respect is what you'll pay
Now follow me or get out the way
And pray for a quick death cuz I will leave nothing left
Motherfucking right - Just serve, worship, and watch your step
That's the way it is
It goes on and on and on
That's just the way it is
So save yourself- follow me
Bow down and drown in my REIGN
Bow down - Come and drown in my REIGN
Bow down and drown in my REIGN
Bow down and drown

Let it go- Let it go
Free will never had a fucking chance
Let it go - Let it go
Sleep deep- Come on and do the Devil's dance
Let it go- Let it go
Free will never had a fucking chance
Let it go - Let it go
Sleep deep -
Come on and do the Devil's Dance

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
