Oh, you walk so slowly
Under the pull of this high tide
Thinking about the old days
Thinking about the snow days

February down by the shore
The waters never freeze
Despite the ice and snow
The snow up to your knees
Bright grey sky, make your eyes feel sore
As you walk into the breeze
All you had to know
You knew when you were three

General CommentJesus christ this song is wistful, I was humming along to the end part without even knowing what it was about, just feeling wistful. I read the lyrics and what do I get!?! Wistful.

General CommentThe song can have many meanings 1) a very introspective song that I think the adult writer wrote to a younger version of himself. 2.) It could be about a loss of innocence: never being able to get those carefree childhood summers back that seem so simple and sweet now. 3.) It could be a person who is revisiting the place where so many childhood memories took place, and can still experience the same feelings about the place as an adult and a 3-year-old.
