"Rose Garden" as written by and Nicholas Jonas....
She was brought into this world
Out of a beautiful mistake
When her mom was just a girl
And her daddy didn't stay
She was working at age nine
At the flower shop in town
Working not just to survive
Cause life was throwing her around

In the rose garden
Where the rain is falling
And the thorns are sharp in the
Rose garden, yeah
Rose garden

She was young but not naive
Always wise beyond her years
Hoping that no one would see
Every time she dried her tears

In the rose garden
Where the rain is falling
And the thorns are sharp in the
Rose garden

Don't let those petals fall
Don't let them fall on you
Don't let those petals fall
Don't let them fall on you
Yeah, yeah, yeah

In the rose garden
Where the rain is falling
And the thorns are sharp in the
In the rose garden, yeah
Rose
Haley is in the rose garden

My Interpretationi think this song is about the life of the girl who had young parents abadoned she had to fend for herself, and the rose garden is the world and "the rain is falling, the thorns are sharpened" the problems she goes through daily...but "dont let the petals fall dont let them fall on you" she dont hv to let those problems get to her and who she is...she can get thru it..

General CommentI really like the direction Nick J is going in here - I love the maturity of this song. I don't think the Jonas Brothers will last much longer with Kevin married and all, so I'm really glad that Nick has his own band to fall back on because I believe that his career has a long way to go.

General CommentOk, even though I am sure this song was indeed inspired by Selena, there are other out there who have had the same experience. And Nick knows this and wants to be an inspiration to those people, so he took Selena's story and wanted to get it out there so other would know that they aren't alone.
The song itself is pretty self explanatory, but I personally love this line.

She was young, but not naive
    Always wise beyond her years
Hoping that no one would see
Every time she dried her tears

Meaning, she may be young but she is very mature for her age and carries herself well. And she wants to be smart and hold herself well and prove that no one has to worry about her,, even though she may shed a tear every now and then, she can handle herself ad doesn't want people to pity her just because of something that may have happened in her life. Again, this verse here could relate to any girl who feels this way! Beautifully written by Nick! Just brillant! :) He is the one who is wise beyond his years. ;) lol!

General Commenti like this song and i like its so different to the jonas brothers music and i think that if he was going to go anywhere with his solo career it had to be different.

Song MeaningThis song may be about Selena Gomez. Because her mom had her when she was a teenager and her dad didn;t stay with her and her mom. It may also be about Demi Lovato, because her dad also didn't stay, but I'm not sure how old Demi's mom was when she had her.

I think the 'rose garden' represents the show business and how there are good things about it and bad things about it. The thorns represent the negative parts about show business and how nasty and cut-throat it can be. A thorn can hurt you easily, like the show business. I think the 'flower shop in town' is talking about when she worked on Barney in her hometown to help out her and her mom.

'She was young but not naive' is talking about how Selena was forced to grow up fast when she got on Disney, and when she had to work at a young age on Barney.

'Don't let those petals fall on you' is telling the girl not to let Hollywood suck her in.

General Commenti think 'don't let those petals fall on you' : don't let the good things in her life fall on her, or fight her back (if it's about selena then it's her fame maybe) anyway it's just my opinion

Song MeaningI doubt this song is about Demi and/or Selena.

I think, the rose garden is the girls life.
The rain falling represents the bad times in her life.
The sharp thorns is everything that is being thrown at her.

Obvioulsy, young but not naive and the wise beyond her years part is refering to the girl having to grow up fast becuase she has no one around to help her through the rain.

Don't let those petals fall, don't let them fall on you, I THINK might be, since the garden is "life" so don't let the petals fall on you could mean don't let life bring you down.

General CommentWow, this sounds like my life. But she is obviously a girl who as gone through many a trial and tribulation through her life and has managed to do fine not letting it get the best of her. And not to give up
